I called Sean Carter to find out what was wrong with a light switch that had stopped working. He quickly identified the problem, repaired it and then we discussed adding another light switch for the same light, on a lower level of the house (one is at the top of the basement stairs and I wanted one in the hall at the bottom of the stairs for guests to control when in our basement guest room). I never knew that you could get a light switch installed on the wall that acted as a remote. No wiring is involved. Brilliant! What a good idea that was.

While he was here, we also discussed outdoor lighting in our back garden. It is cheaper than I thought it would be, but using good quality components. I will probably hire him to do that for us at some point soon.

His pricing is in line with other electricians in the neighbourhood.

Sean is a nice guy, easygoing and pleasant and has lots of good ideas. Seems to really know his job. I will not hesitate to call him again for future electrical needs.

We worked with Carter Electrical to create/install 2 new ceiling lights, replace 2 outside fixtures, install an external sensor light, and do a couple of troubleshooting. Our experience with Carter Electrical was excellent. Sean and Mark were very accommodating in meeting our preferred schedule, they were on time, completed the work within the time (5 hrs.) and price estimated. They were very pleasant to work with and did a great job cleaning up. It was great to receive such excellent customer service even though we didn't have a big job. Sean and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with. I had 5 Electricians quote on terminating the knob and tube and installing pot lighting and a few additional lights and Sean was the only one that took an hour to plan the route of least destruction and in the end his bill was what he quoted. Moving is stressful enough and I'm really pleased I chose Sean, he made it easy.

I called Sean based on his homestars reviews and the fact that he was willing to do small jobs like mine. We arranged a convenient appointment time via text and he told me his (very reasonable) hourly rates. On the appointed day he arrived promptly and replaced my dining room pendant and two outdoor fixtures quickly and efficiently and he also replaced our outdoor socket which kept short-circuiting. He was able to accomplish all this in 2 hours. I am very happy to have found Sean and will definitely use his services again in future when we need an electrician!

10 star rating all around! Sean was very customer focused from start to finish and very technically skilled. He did a number of things including - installed three light fixtures, a new dimmer in the bathroom, rewired a vintage chandelier and fixed a switch box that had been installed incorrectly by the previous owner of my home. Sean arrived on schedule and when we discovered my vintage chandelier came wired improperly and had the wrong parts he was quick to find a solution. His eagerness and ability to fix the chandelier was a HUGE relief for me as it had a lot of sentimental value. Sean has a great positive, can do attitude and deliveries quality work within budget and on schedule. He even swept the floors and wiped the counters at the end of the work so everything was spic and span (which I really appreciated!). I highly recommend Sean. Thanks for the great work!

I contacted Sean and he came by within a few days to look at the work that needed to be done and by the next morning I had an estimate emailed to me. He and Noel came within the week to complete all my projects (mounting two tvs and running cables in the wall, replacing a bathroom fan, and changing over a tricky light switch). Not only was the work excellent but it came in under the estimate! When does that ever happen? I'm super happy with how everything turned out and would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

I contacted Carter Electrical because I needed various light fixtures put up in my home. In a day or two, John came by and was punctual and professional and he did an awesome job with all the lights. He was knowledgeable, gentle and quick. In no time, everything was replaced that needed replacing. He also took some time to look at my electrical box as well, and he answered fully any of my questions and concerns.

For some reason our PS4 system continually blew the circuit in our basement whenever the power "on" was pressed. We could not figure it out. We switched the system to different outlets and were utterly confused and frustrated by the results every time. Carter Electrical came in and trouble shot the problem until they figured out a solution. My only wish is that we were having more electrical issues right now that Carter Electrical could fix on the spot! We would recommend their services 100%.
