Best Product I found!

We delayed cleaning up our rotten deck for several years due to experiencing serious time/money/competence issues with past contractors. We had new leaks after a big wind storm, so we knew it was time to clean it up. I am so grateful to find a reasonable, excellent contractor... a very welcome change! NEWPORT DRY DECK was the best organization we have ever dealt with. Completely rebuilt the old deck (ripped out unsafe 2 layers of rot and soft walk/drip areas everywhere); added air vents below for the new long term impervious surface to breath without rot issues; took the extra step to ensure the water and debris would flow away from the edge of the deck to keep all clean for years to come. Employees are the happiest, most efficient I have yet to know. I recommend them 200%! Thank you Newport Dry Deck!

Deck Surface

Our contractor hired NewPort Dry Deck (in our case Wet Deck) to install their coating system for a new construction deck. The end result is when it rains we have a constant 18" x 23 foot river along the edge of our deck, and when it stops raining we have puddles on the deck, and when it dries there is a water stain where the river and puddles were. Had them out to look at this mess, but they won't do anything about it, except say REFER TO THE CONTRACT, what a joke. The owner suggested we cut our support posts under the deck to lower the edge of the deck that they built up too high causing the river problem. REALLY, cut the support posts that also holds up our roof, a suggestion from an amateur. This company DOES NOT stand behind their work, small company with obviously no ability to fund fixing problems they create. BEWARE with their system when they install the edge flashing they build up the edge of the deck that caused this problem, DON'T let this happen to you. I now wished I had given the job to another company.

Coating for a wheelchair ramp

When we had the wheelchair ramp built we coated it with a product from a home improvement store. That did not last long and did not provide very good traction. We decided on Newport Dry Deck because of the product samples and their guarantee. We couldn't be happier with the results.

Decking

My deck was covered in soft and rotten spots, very unsafe. They fixed all those spots and then re surfaced my whole deck making it completely waterproof. That was last summer, it still looks great and no leaks anywhere. Very professional staff and they kept my yard clean. Highly recommended.

Sundeck Recoating

I love my deck now. Not only does it look amazing it also cleans like a dream. Just a quick water wash and that's it! It's comfortable in bare feet and isn't slippery when it's wet either.

More about New Port Dry Deck

I am Keri, the owner of NewPort Dry Deck, a family business. My sister Laura is in charge of the Top Coating crews. My dad Dennis is the leader of the carpentry and waterproofing crews. My mom Debbie does the books. When you request a quote, you will be seeing me! I do the estimating and day to day management.

How we got started:

After only 8 years of our own sundecks being resurfaced, they needed to be done again. We have 3 decks totaling about 1,000 square feet and we were frustrated that the last re-coating only lasted a short time. We also knew that we needed to resurface the decks on some of our rental properties. We did a lot of research, thinking there had to be a better solution.
We discovered polyurethane. Thank goodness for our rental properties because the first applications were a challenge. We were pleased that we could seal around wooden railing posts and bond to the stucco siding, without it having to be removed. We even coated the stairs! Our first applications do not look as good as they do today, but they have lasted! No rips, tears or leaks.

We decided that homeowners, like us, would want a coating that would first and foremost, be waterproof and last. Our decks are done by hand. Each one is unique. After resurfacing decks for our families and friends, word started to spread. NewPort Dry Deck was born, and we couldn’t be happier.

We take a lot of pride knowing your family home will remain protected from the elements for well over 20 years.
