AGM Renovations

We hired AGM to renovate our basement into a legal basement apartment, and aside from a few hiccups along the way, we are so pleased with the quality of the workmanship and how quickly it all came together. Every tradesperson that came to our home was so professional yet friendly. This project was a long time coming and AGM delivered the vision we had for our basement.

AGM has recently completed my legal basement unit that I had completed and I am please with the results of how my basement unit turned out. When I was setting out to find a contractor for my basement I went through a very detailed due diligence on my part and interviewed 4 other basement contractors. I selected AGM as Ryan from their sales team took the time to walk through the entire process of what I wanted to get done for my basement and was able to address all my questions and or concerns. When the work actually commenced I was assigned an amazing project manager Johnny who kept me informed on a weekly basis on the progress and what trades were being scheduled next. I could rely on Johnny at any time of the day to be responsive to any of my questions I had along the way of the construction. In the end I was fortunate enough to work with a great team between Ryan and Johnny at AGM who showed great professionalism and customer service to help us get my basement completed.

AGM finished our basement in December 2019. The trade staff were very professional. While the work was in progress, there never was an issue with either work or schedules. I was very happy with my project manager Colton who was very honest and truthful throughout the project. He knew our taste and all his recommendations were exactly what we wanted. Colton provided two recommendations which were the vanity upgrade and the glass shelving for the minibar. I am pleased to say that he made sure those were finished to our satisfaction. The drafting of the plan by the designer Ashley was very professional and they accommodated all our needs. The final finished basement is a dream come true. My basement is now a fun space for friends and family to gather. As promised we got our basement before Christmas and needless to say, we had all of our Christmas gatherings there. AGM was one of the best decisions I have made because they gave me a peace of mind without sacrificing the quality of workmanship.

AGM basements came in to complete a full basement renovation. Kitchen, bathroom, master bathroom, two bedrooms, living room and laundry room. The final product was amazing. Felt inviting and not like you are walking into a basement. Had a complete condominium feel. All the contractors were professional and completed work thoroughly and in a timely fashion. The project manager (Colton) was also very professional and made sure that the project timelines were on time. He addressed any minor issues effectively and efficiently. It was a pleasure to AGM in to do the work. The company definitely provides good workmanship and a staff that is caring and understanding to the homeowners. Thank you for all the amazing work done!

We delayed the decision to finish our basement for a long time because of the fear of going through a major disruption in our lives the project would cause. We were also concerned about the several horror stories we heard from people about work delays, cost overruns etc. When we finally decided to start the project with AGM I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not the major disruption in our lives that I though it would be nor to experience the horror stories we heard about. The project was finished in the time they said it would take and the cost came in at the price they quoted except for a few upgrades we decided on. They put a lockbox on our door so the trade people could come and go whether we were home or not. It all worked so seamlessly. Most of the time (except for the early stages with all the banging) it didn't seem like they were there. They just come in, do there job and leave when done on there own. The staff and trade people were all courteous and professional. When unexpected roadblocks came up, the project manager was always there to provide suggestions and options to solve the issue. The up front work that was done with the design and material selections really helped as well. All in all I was very satisfied with the work and would not hesitate to start another project with AGM.

Great quality work. Professional workers with good work attitude. I was struck with just how generous the company is. Was very impressed with the accounting team and the ease with which we worked payments out.
Nothing is perfect so we did encounter some hiccups that caused some delays. However, I can say we're glad with your overall performance.

Wow - AGM did a splendid job renovating our basement from the scratch. We had heard horror stories when it comes to basement finishes and were initially skeptical about who to assign our contract. Thanks God our selection of AGM Basement was a Right decision. They did a superb job and kept us in the loop on a weekly basis vis-a-vis project progress. They always had professionals to answer our questions. Half way through the project, there was a change in our project manager. This was a blessing in disguise as the new Project Manager, Jeff, was simply awesome, professional and flexible to help us. We have absolutely no hesitation in strongly recommending AGM Basement, if you wish to finish your basement elegantly, professionally and more importantly with peace of mind.

After a full 10 years since moving into our house, we finally got serious about finishing our basement this year. With a growing family, we were looking for extra living space as well an area to entertain our family and friends over the holidays. After meeting with a few companies, we decided to work with AGM as we found their pricing to be competitive as well as a willingness of their design team to understand our needs and wants and how best to incorporate them into the available space.

Our experience working with Johnny as the project manager and all the trades on the job have been great. As expected with any renovation project, there were minor hiccups along the way but everyone at AGM was responsive, helpful, and worked hard to ensure our satisfaction throughout the renovation process.

Overall, our basement was completed within the expected schedule and we are thrilled with the end result. We would highly recommend AGM to anyone thinking about finishing their basement.
