We have used Hamid and his crew twice now. Once, in December 2016 to do a partial renovation of our basement and most recently to re-build our front porch. For our basement, we needed waterproofing, walls built/drywalling, painting, lighting/electrical, new laundry room and new pantry, including shelving. We also decided to replace the carpet due to mould. Hamid and his guys did an excellent job and what we most appreciated were the little extra things he did and the attention to detail in the overall project.

We were so happy with the job that we had him come back in July to rebuild our front porch and paint our columns, trim etc. Again, we were very satisfied with the job and our porch looks amazing.

Hamid was readily available to consult throughout the projects and did not mind making changes as things progressed. We would definitely use his company again and have no problem recommending him for projects big or small.

I had a relatively large renovation project to complete last year involving a basement kitchen, basement bathroom and main floor powder room. I was nervous about the cost and hiring a reliable contractor. You hear people complain about bad experiences all the time. After speaking with 4 different companies I finally decided to go with A & R Renovation Company. The reviews on Homestars were excellent but I was a little skeptical. How can someone be so perfect? Well, Hamid and his team are perfect, or I should say they strive to be as perfect as possible. I was impressed at our first meeting because Hamid gave me a quote on the spot and I didn’t have to wait. I found his quotes are reasonable in comparison to most other contractors and he and his team are fast, friendly, polite, flexible and efficient. They are punctual and start on time each morning finishing at 4:00 or 5:00 on most days. I had one contractor start whenever he felt like it even staying until 11:00 p.m. one night. Hamid is also very accurate in giving you the length of the project. He said it would take 4 weeks and despite a few minor issues where he had to come on a weekend he completed on time. I appreciated that he was always available either by e-mail or phone to answer inquires. He also goes out of his way to solve any problems that might come up. I had a problem with my kitchen cabinets being too long which didn’t allow enough space for the countertop. This could have been a disaster. But Hamid contacted a cabinet maker he knew who fixed the problem in a couple of weeks. The kitchen is now very functional as well as beautiful. Hamid and his team do fabulous work. They are skilled in many areas of home improvement such as electrical, plumbing, tiling, drywall, and painting. They can even offer a few design tips if necessary. I was so pleased with the work they did for me that I asked them to come back to do my laundry room and the rest of the basement this month. I am looking forward to working with Hamid and his team once again and I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring a competent and reliable contractor. You won’t need to worry with A&R Renovation Co.

After changing the counter-top I needed a plumber to reconnect the pipes. It was a Saturday afternoon and other people charged double for this. Hamid estimated decently, showed up on time, explained what he was doing and what I should be looking out for. He worked with due diligence and left the place clean. Also he warranted his work. I will surely call him again.

My work involved a patching up the drywall (and insulation) from a basement wall crack fix.. Most contractors gave me the Linda Evangelista Treatment "I don't get out of bed for less than a million".. They all declined the work, saying was too small for them, despite being downtown based near my home.. Hamid was good enough to take on the work, but also start right away on time.. Because some of the work was behind the drywall, Hamid took pictures of his work before the cover up, just to prove he did what he's paid.. Hamid was FULL SERVICE: willing to quote the work on a weekend, started on time, willing to coordinate 3 trades, and complete the work with value added carpet cleaning.. He is a pro, and I will hire him for other misc general contractor work in my home.. HE DESERVES YOUR BUSINESS..

I hired A&R Renovation in September to gut and re-do our basement shower that had previously been installed incorrectly by another contractor. Hamid and his team did a fantastic job. He even took me to his supplier to find the right granite for our shower seat and sill. The team worked a nice pattern in our accent tile, and the work was completed on time and on budget. The shower now looks great and I would recommend A&R Renovation to anyone.

Hamid is very responsive, professional and flexible. We undertook an extensive basement renovation and needed framing/drywall/bathroom/tiling kitchen and flooring. Hamid always ensured the job was completed to our satisfaction, showed up on time, and stayed within the quote. Was willing to work with us in the way that we wanted. Very honest no nickel and diming and only charged extra for variances that we asked for (some custom extra work required for kitchen cabinets etc.). Would hire him again!

We asked Hamid to replace the existing bathroom in my basement with a shower. Hamid's team is very reliable. He did a really good job for me, met my requirements. They met a lot of problems during the renovation then they cleared them all. They gave me some good advises and it is really helpful. Now my bathroom is a gorgous one.
I would say I will use him again in the future and introduce to my friends.

We recently bought a house as an investment that really needed some renovation. We're so glad that we hired A & R Renovation. They did a superb job with the Kitchen, Bathroom, Flooring, Stairs and Painting. The estimate Hamid gave was on point and the price was very reasonable and within our budget.
