- Company Response
Dear Shan,
We are sorry if we made you feel that we do not support our customers. As of today
- we have sent you several emails with instructions on how to avoid condensation
- made a visit to your house (installer and factory technician) to investigate the source of condensation and have the report, explaining reasons of condensation in those particular rooms. If the instructions originally sent out to you had been followed, there would have been no condensation on your new windows
- at no cost to you, we have provided you with two hydrometers so you can keep track of Relative Humidity inside your house and readings from them are showing excessive humidity (48% with temperatures -10 Celsius outside on the picture you sent us)
- we got WindowWise auditor David Mitten involved, he provided you with explanation and confirmed that "The window manufacturer has done everything they can do to make an energy-efficient window. Your company (Optima) has done everything you can do to insulate around that window. Control of condensation now rests entirely with the occupants of the home."
In general, Optima has measured, made to the size, installed and even painted your interior trims for your new GreenON approved windows and obtained maximum rebate for you.
Kindly, follow the instructions that we have sent out to you right after your first contacted us and there will be no condensation on your new windows. We will be covering any warranty claims, should you have any, as stated in our Lifetime (not 10 years) warranty. Parts and Labour included.
