Green Side Up Contracting

I have used Greenside Up for the past 4 years and am very pleased with the service they provide. They do what they say they will do and if there is a problem they will rectify it. Jay and his crew are very personable and professional! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them....and I have!

We needed to have our backyard fixed up in time for my son's first birthday, and we had left it to the very, very end. We called around, couldn't get anyone. Finally, we decided to try the bit and piece approach and started to rip out stuff on the right side flower bed. Well, that just looked horrible, as you can see in the "before" picture. We were not happy. This is when my wife called Jay from Green Side Up.
Telling him our story, Jay was very sympathetic. He made time in his busy schedule to squeeze us in. His team found us the largest and most beautiful Red Japanese Maple that he could find (at a decent price too) along with other choice plants. They graded and re-sodded the lawn. They put a covering over and mulched both side beds, looking very sharp. All this time, Jay was very personable and sensitive to our wishes. They completely transformed what looked horrible into something beautiful and easy to maintain, as you can see in the "after" picture. And check out the gorgeous red maple on the right! Now the backyard is ready for my son's first birthday, just in time. Thanks a million to Jay and the team from Green Side Up!

This spring we contracted Jay and Green Side Up for lawn care,and having neglected our eves troughs for a year, asked if he would be able to clean our eves and at what price. Jay said "no problem, no charge " - and as you can see from the photos, they really were an awful mess. It's the little extras like this that make us extremely satisfied with Jay and his crew.

Urgently needed some redo to our front walkway ! Searching reviews on HomeStars I came across Green Side Up.
We gave them a call and Jay promptly got back to us and came to our house to see what our needs were. He asked us to go and pick out what patio stones we liked and was soon on site to do the job. Jay and Mel turned a disaster into an amazing area ! It was a pleasure to have Jay and Mel around and new friendships were formed along with one fantastic front walkway ! Great Job Green Side Up !

We have recently had a new fence/gate built by Green Side Up Landscaping and as well, they replaced a small patio and a larger one. We are very pleased with the outcome and find these patios are now a great enhancement to our home. Jay ensured they were built with attention to detail and at the same time focused on proper drainage away from the house. We enjoyed having the Green Side Up team working on our property and doing such a professional job in a very timely manner. All their efforts, the satisfactory pricing along with the high quality of workmanship is very much appreciated. We will definitely recommend Green Side Up anytime. We are living in a new builder development area.

The original grass was dying, the front yard was being taken over by weeds and the backyard was left to be desired. To say the least, the outdoor areas needed a little "sprucing up."

After checking Home Stars and seeing the great reviews we felt comfortable enough to contact Jay at Green Side Up.

He was very fast and quick to return my call and within a week he came to visit our property to assess the project and discuss ideas.

After the first meeting, we had several additional questions, new ideas and thoughts, which we felt were best illustrated by having Jay return back to our property. He never complained and always made the time to revisit to make us feel as comfortable as possible about the project.

The project included sodding of new grass, removing the old clay and replacing it with fresh soil, replacing the existing garden in front of the house with a new design the incorporated the driveway, replacing the standard tiles in the backyard with upgraded tiles, building a berm, replacing the standard concrete steps in the backyard with stone steps and planting various new plants and grasses.

Jay and his crew were very courteous, kind and a pleasure to have, while they were working. During the project time, we could not be home for a day or two but Jay would provide us with updated pictures on the progress to make sure we were informed and it made us feel like we were right there.

Once the project was completed, the area was well cleaned, tidied up and the landscape was manicured. Now we have an outdoor area that we are very proud of to come home to and to relax in the backyard.

We would certainly recommend Green Side Up to any of our friends and family and will be contacting him again for any future projects.

The retaining wall along the front and side of my house was leaning terribly and an eyesore. I got the name and phone number for Green Side Up from Homestars and within a couple of days I had met with Jay, got an estimate, and confirmed the go ahead. The workmen arrived precisely at 7:30 am on the start date and were able to complete the job that day. Everything was handled in a timely and professional manner and my retaining wall looks great. Jay and his crew went above and beyond and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Green Side Up to friends and family.

My patio stones had shifted over the winter and were all over the map. I was referred to Jay at Green Side Up and he did not disappoint. He provided a quote and a timeframe and he did a fabulous job fixing my patio. I am now confident that the water drainage will be going into my backyard and not close to my house foundation. I found Jay to be honest, reliable and knowledgeable. He went the extra mile to take care of details that may appear small but make a difference to me. Jay also fixed my front walkway as the interlock had sunk over the years and it now looks amazing as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Jay (and in fact I already have). Jay and his team were punctual and were more than willing to answer any questions I had, they also did an awesome job making the front,side and back of the house looking great. Jay was able to work with the budget I had while providing outstanding quality, in the end I got more than what I could ask for. During the sodding process Jay explained step by step on how to maintain a great looking lawn which I was very grateful for since its my first time owning a home with lawn. Jay always kept me up to date with the progress of the project and finished on the expected date.
