We recently had our old wood soffit and fascia coveted with new maintenance free aluminum. It has provided a really nice face-lift to an old 1930s home. It looks better then I could have imagined and no more painting! Alex and his partner were super professional and easy to get along with. A couple of days of work with no messing around. We had a really good experience and I would highly recommend Kovar.

Based on reviews on HomeStars I had Kovar Contracting provide a quote to replace a leaky skylight. From the initial contact with the office to the quick proposal/quotation and the installation, fantastic job!
Skylights can be problematic if not installed correctly; my last one had to be repaired a few times after the initial install and I didn't wish to go thru that again.
I would highly recommend Kovar.

We got seven quotes, all from reputable roofers. Kovar had the best value for money estimate with the highest rated shingles. We explored the various warranties and found the one offered through Kovar to be the best.
Jason did a great job keeping in touch and managing expectations. The crew was professional, courteous and efficient. They worked very hard and we are thrilled with their workmanship. Even our neighbours were impressed by the staff.

Attic ventilation installation was recommended and service was excellent with quick turnaround. Reasonable rates for work completed. I would hire again if needed.

Ben took ownership of the project from day one. We felt that he treated our house as if it was his own and did and extra clean up when one of his subcontractors left the site in a condition that Ben was not comfortable with.

Ben showed ingenuity and stick-to-itiveness on more than one occasion. Milling the height of the new baseboards to match the height of the previously installed baseboards resulted in us not being able to see where the original room ended and the new one began.

We were very pleased with every one of the other trades people who worked on our project. They were courteous, efficient and from all results very skilled.

Jason’s willingness to be directly involved when we asked for an onsite visit prior to construction was very much appreciated as were the communications we had with Kimberly regarding re-scheduling due to Covid.

My wife and I would like to thank you, the Kovar Team and especially Ben for making this project the success that it was.

They were timely and responsive. It’s nice they have an administrative person as well as installers. They were upfront about potential delays from Covid-19. Thankfully, they got the work done sooner than expected! Instead of October they worked it into mid-July. They matched the colour of my siding, the runs are clean, the downspouts are trim and secure — thank you!
