Unfortunately my experience with Al wasn't as good. While the furniture from the companies he represents was good, Al made a mistake in my order. Despite his "personal guarantee" and repeated attempts to come to a satisfactory solution, Al has not followed through with correcting the problem. My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing from Pacific Living Furniture is to get everything in writing up front.

We were shopping around for a new desk and bookcase for our home office and wanted pieces of real-wood furniture; not something that came out of a flat box with assembly instructions. Al Brownsdon, at Pacific Living Furniture in Coquitlam was most helpful to us. He came up with a number of wood type and design suggestions for us to consider, and even made a visit to our house to familiarize himself with our office setting. We settled on a custom-made 3-piece combination of desk, commode/printer stand, and bookcase (see photos).
We’re absolutely thrilled with the appearance, quality and workmanship of our furniture. Al's price and delivery date was fair and on time. At all times, he dealt with us in a friendly, professional manner and we would have no problem recommending him to others.

We acquired a Living Edge solid maple dining room table from Al this year - it was fabulous and he provided great support in helping us meet our needs, not to mention a great price. We also picked up a beautiful maple end table from the floor that our guests always comment on.

We had been looking for a new couch for about five years and visited over 20 manufacturers and retail outlets as well as doing extensive online research. My Dad was a woodworker and a designer so I knew what to look for to find great quality product. I visited Pacific Living without any expectation to find something fabulous. (What I did expect was to yet again be disappointed.) Here in his showroom was a stunning, well made, honkin', piece of furniture in gorgeous, thick, quality leather. None of this "bonded" or "split" crap. (Can you say "short life span"?) This stuff is stunning. And I had a cat and a dog and yes, with a blankie we let the dog lay on the couch... it is so comfortable. We have had this couch now for four years and it is fabulous. The seat pillows have only slightly dented and the back pillows - well you can't see a thing.
You might wonder why a female would choose such a masculine looking couch. I love it. It reminds me of camping up north with family, country living, (though our design style is not countrified) and it will last, last, last.
I can't see us parting with this couch in the future, and if we ever choose to I know it will have a very high resale value. (Go ahead, try to sell a used couch today.)
The photo is a caramel colour and ours is an almost chocolate brown with slight reddish-brown tones. It's leather, so it won't be the same throughout. If you want to see our couch, get in touch with Al and I'll send him a photo. Or, you could buy your own...

We took advantage of their expert service, skill and design sense, and now have a condo size birch table and four custom chairs. Locally made of birch and stained in chocolate cherry, it can seat six after the leaf is added.

We love Pacific Living Furniture. They have great service and great products that are local (we love that part). So far (over the past 2 years) we have purchased a buffet, dining table, and living room furniture. Each time we have received personal caring service. You can tell that Al and his partner really want to help with service and quality.

Pacific Living is an amazing store. We absolutely love the leather furniture we purchased here. Al and Tracy spent a great deal of time with us figuring out the color that would work best for us. The products they sell are very high in quality. We love shopping at this store. It has been our experience that they stand behind their product and we have always been happy with everything we have purchased. We go back each time we need something else for our house.

We have been buying furniture for our home in Port Moody over the past 4 years exclusively from Pacific Living. Great selection of quality, locally made, solid wood and leather furniture. Excellent customer service and always plenty of help choosing the right finishes, materials, sizes, etc. We get plenty of compliments on our purchases and recommend Al to all our friends and family!

This is a fabulous find of a high quality furniture store, with very unique inventory, as well as a personal touch. I found the most amazing table made of ironwood, one of a kind, and funky gorgeous lamps. It is a delight to have a more local furniture store, with high quality and a fabulous aesthetic and good prices. What a joy, and I would recommend to all!!!!
