Masumi Landscaping

Hired Wade and Masumi Landscaping to repair and replace our front porch. Wade was very responsive, answered our questioned and expertly provided us with a solution that would work for us. The work the team did looks fantastic and we couldn't be happier with the finished product.

Masumi Landscaping replaced my front walkway patio stones with interlock and built steps by the front entrance. The job was started and completed on time and on budget. The old was removed and the area was cleaned up.
Wade Masumi kept us informed from planning to completion.

We like the way that Masumi landscaping works. Wade is the only contractor I have met that works with you daily on the project. Discuss what you want, ask him for suggestion, agree on the idea, and then meet just before the project to review. Each day he meets with you to make sure you are happy, and if you have any modifications that can be done going forward, he is happy to discuss it with you, although really his eye is so good, you usually end up with what he originally suggested. He is an artist with a good eye. He is popular, so book well in advance. Before we booked him for last year (2016), in 2015 we went out and talked to former customers and saw his work. All excellent and gave very good recommendations. We have been great about keeping us informed, and appreciated the fact that he give his full attention to the customer he is currently working with. When he and Delbert were here, they worked only on our job, worked continuously, left a clean site every day, and used very respectful language (unlike the contractors who work at our neighbours place last year, and used obscenities every other word for the week and sat in the shade for long break)s. They were very patient and polite to another neighbour who do another neighbour who yelled at them for making dust (he had left his windows open despite being forewarned) and demanded that they stop work when he got home (4 p.m.) so he could sit out on his deck. They offered to blow off his deck and yard, and the next day they started earlier so they were leaving when the neighbour got home. He took my no longer needed. He took my split hostas (and there was a lot of them) to another client who could make use of them, We will definitely use him again for stage 4.

We initially hired Wade to install interlock around our pool five years ago and he did an amazing job. We have a walkout and needed stair down the side of the house so naturally we had him quote and not only was he the best price but again the quality and professionalism was outstanding!

We decided to do more landscaping this year, a much more ambitious project, with interlock in the front, side and back of the house, sitting rocks around a fire pit, river rock borders, retaining walls, mulch in garden beds, some decorative large rocks, etc. We hired Masumi Landscaping again because of the great job they did last time. We needed repairs done to shoddy work done by a previous (bad) landscaper, beautification of both sides of our house, and the repair and rehab of a botched pool removal, leading to a complete renewal of the backyard. Wade Matsumi and his worker, Delbert did an excellent job relevelling our front walkway and adding a new side door walkway and paver styled steps to the house. He also gave practical ideas to solve water drainage concerns he noticed. They added sod to areas that were bare due to foundation repairs by another company.
Wade's enthusiasm for whatever the job entails is number one in my books. He works with the customer and picks up their needs quickly. I strongly recommend using Wade Matsumi Landscaping

We made arrangements with Masumi Landscaping to do some stone work in our backyard in April 2016. Wade said he would start in June. I tried calling him, left messages no return calls, spoke to him once and he said he would start on June 7. We made preparations in the yard, he never called or appeared. I find him extremely unreliable and I strongly do not recommend his services.

Wade and his crew were extremely professional and friendly. They went above and beyond our expectations. We interviewed over 7 companies regarding our job and hit a home run with Masumi landscaping. We will use them again for any future jobs. We highly recommend them!!!!
