The short version - Exceptional service and product and I highly recommend Goldwood. When we finish the basement stairs, we will be calling them back. They did a great job on 2 staircases in my home. They were a one-stop-shop for the staircase. (not only stairs, or only railings, or do the stairs but I have to varnish myself) They did the complete job from start to finish.
Long version - As far as I remember, this is my first Homestars review. I have written 3 Google reviews of different businesses that have done amazing jobs. Probably after writing this I will write a Google review for them. Also, I asked them to write a review for them, they did not ask me. I will start at the beginning, I called other places from recommendations. First guy was more expensive for just the stairs, no railing, and I had to varnish myself. Second place was recommended to me, and that guy said he only did railings. The third place I found online and sent them my information twice and still no quote and then they said they would come and never showed up. Finally I called Goldwood Stairs. They came and measured the next day, and gave a complete quote for 2 staircases. We went to their shop to pick out the nosing style, spindles, bannister style, etc. that we wanted. They also had a turnaround time of 2-3 weeks, which they stuck to. The stairs were installed in 2 days, including touch ups. I would be floored (pun unintentional) if another company could come close to them for price, workmanship, or installation.

I'm a Professional Engineer, in construction, and I can tell the workmanship of true craftsmen through the attention to detail...and Goldwood demonstrated throughout the restoration of our Scarlet O'Hare staircase that they deserve the recognition of being referred to as "true craftsmen". Clearly, these wood specialists are committed to their trade and to the business of skilled techniques, a focus on quality and pride of workmanship. The end result of almost a complete dis-assembly, refinish and re-assembly of our entire staircase, was a masterful restoration that is now a gorgeous structure of beauty from our lower basement level all the way to our 2nd floor. I will say that while they do a pretty good job of sealing off the rest of our home from dust and throw down floor protection, I found I needed to remind them after a couple of days to keep up their original respectful practice standards. Overall, we were so very pleased with Goldwood and would not hesitate to recommend their services to others. That said, for anyone who does decide on Goldwood Stairs and Floors Inc. to perform their next stair refinishing project, let me just say one more thing….Prepare to be impressed!

We just recently got our dated stair railings and post renovated by Goldwood stairs and they did a fantastic job! We got the best quote from them and the most timely appointment. They were very professional and accommodating to our requests and got the job done on time. I would definitely recommend them.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! The quality , service and price of Goldwood Stairs!!! I cannot say enough good things about them. Marki and her team are very professional, courteous, highly qualified and extremely nice to work with. The workers took care of our home as if it was their own, they carefully sealed out areas of our home when sanding the floors so less dust would travel to those areas. They PERFECTLY matched the stain to the exact color we wanted and we in time, on schedule and made an extra effort to go out of their way to fullfil our requests. Goldwood Stairs are an true example of how a business takes care of their customers, we couldn't be more pleased! Attached are before and after photos.
