Hidri Contracting

This was the second time we went with Hidri Contracting for a home improvement project, the first was in 2017 for our vestibule addition and kitchen renovation. This time, we built a two-tiered deck approximately 200 ft² in area and fence in our rear yard. We also relocated a walkway brick-by-brick. The project was relatively complex due to changes in grade and a very small area in which to work.

Like the first time, Ylber was outstanding to work with. Right from the beginning, he was invested in the design of the deck and finished right on time. Ylber was always able to provide useful suggestions and was right on budget as well. Highly recommended and we will continue to use Hidri Contracting for any of our home improvement needs.

My condo bathroom was basically original from 1988 with a laundry closet within. I wanted the laundry relocated in the adjacent hall exit which I never used. It meant a lot of moving of plumbing, electrical and ducting and complete removal of the bathroom.

A story to long to type lead me in PARALYZED FEAR to search for a contractor. I googled "Bathroom Renovations" and found Hidri Contracting. They had an amazing rating and the reviews too good to believe. At this point save your time on the read. Ylber's reviews are all totally accurate and perhaps understated.

After meeting Ylber; I signed on with no hesitation and never searched for a second quote or opinion. My gut reaction was "this was the guy for me and I was bang on"!!!

Ylber and his team of hard working professionals took my mental designs and transformed them into reality within the 3 week time frame given.

Ylber and his associates are hard working, reliable perfectionists who share their expertise to guide you along the way through the job. On a few occasions, I changed my mind and Ylber was alway flexible to make it happen or provide very valuable advise against the change whether it be financial or structural.

Ylber is always punctual and stays on schedule 99% of the time. He keeps you informed via text or phone call. His team leaves the work area as neat and clean as possible but HELLO it's a renovation so it gets down and dirty daily.

Hidri Contracting uses high quality products. I watched them make my dream come to life daily and was impressed by the attention to detail about what goes on under those beautiful tiles and walls. You can relax knowing that the project has been finished with quality from the inside out to last the years.

This is the second time Hidri Contracting Inc. has done a series of renovation jobs for me. Last month, they replaced an old garden deck to my entire satisfaction. They also repaired and painted a kitchen, a living room and a basement ceiling. It has always been a pleasure dealing with Ylber. His team is efficient and courteous and cause the least disturbance when working. Ylber is very reliable and fair in his dealings with everyone. His workmanship is excellent and his prices reasonable. I will not hesitate to recommend him to my relatives and friends and will contact him again when I need a contractor.

We hired Ylber to completely renovate a bathroom, including construction of a tile walkin shower, relocation of an exterior window and other incidental repairs.

I hired Hidri contracting for many reasons. I had gone through a number of estimates and Ylber was the only one who provided me with an alternate opinion for my basement layout. He also provided me with a detailed quote and was open to negotiating the scope of work. From demolition through to completion Ylber focus was on client service, ensuring the work being done was of the quality he would want for his own home. He made sure to keep me up to date on the progress of and upcoming work and also made sure that the work being done was of the utmost quality.

Working with Hidri Contracting and Ylber was great. Given the house is about 130 years old, we expected some surprises. But once the walls came down, we found many things that required work. Framing that needed to be fixed, walls that needed to be leveled, HVAC that needed to be connected to a duct. To Ylber's credit, he did not pounce on these opportunities to make us squirm. He and his team were accommodating and fair. We worked well together as a team to brainstorm some interesting solutions and in the end, we achieved the best solution and finished product.
We had some very strict timelines in which we had to move back into our house, and Ylber worked hard to ensure we were back on time. He and his team put in many extra hours to get our place back together.
The versatility of Hidri Contracting is impressive. We had elements in the project that touch on many trades including masonry and custom electrical systems. Ylber was able to accommodate and manage all the different elements.

We are very happy with the way the house turned out and will definitely use Hidri Contracting in the future. We have also already recommended him to our friends in the area.

I renovated two basement rooms down to the studs and removed a wall to convert it into one room. Yiber was very attentive and helpful, and kept this job as a priority and got things done on time. His teams were clean and quick and he and always came to inspect the work of any subcontractors and make sure things were done right.

We wanted to transform our partially finished, 1970s-style basement into a bright, livable space that we could potentially use as an in-law suite. We met with several contractors, but we were impressed by Ylber's attention to our whole house. He saw the potential to fix other ongoing issues in our house as part of the basement reno. For example, our second-floor rooms were always cold in the winter, so Ylber recommended several solutions that could be carried out while the basement walls and ceilings were being installed. And we really liked his collaborative approach to the design of the space. He was very patient and made sure we ended up with the space we wanted.
In addition to Ylber's crew of workers (all lovely guys), our reno required the work of a heating/cooling contractor, electrician, and asbestos removal company. The people he worked with were all top-notch, and brought expertise and professionalism to the job. They arrived at our house punctually at the established times, and worked diligently until the work was complete.
Price-wise, his estimate was competitive with the other contractors we spoke with, and we stayed within our budget. There were no surprise costs, and Ylber made sure we were absolutely satisfied before accepting final payment for the work.
Overall, it was a pleasure working with Ylber. He's an honest, friendly, resourceful guy, who clearly enjoys his work and takes pride in it. I have recommended him to numerous friends, neighbors, and colleagues, and would not hesitate to hire him again myself.
