I would not recommend Kingscape Landscape Construction Group. In the beginning Mike was great but over time his true colours really came out. We were strung along for well over a year after repeatedly being promised by Mike that he would start our work. After we missed one season we were promised the following year that we would be the first job of the season. Mike called us to do our landscaping when there was snow on the ground. After we consulted with other professionals in the industry they said that it was crazy that he would suggest starting when the ground was still frozen with snow. We told Mike that we didn’t feel comfortable starting with snow on the ground. Mike promised that he would start our work in May. I had a bank draft for the full amount prepared for Mike dated May 2nd which I still have.
Mike continuously promised that he would start our work soon but repeatedly stalled us and came up with excuses. Mike gave us his word that he would start our job in early July but he never showed up. In early August I called Mike once again and he promised that he would be there the next day to start which was a Saturday. We waited at home all day and Mike and his team from Kingscape Landscape Construction Group never showed up nor had the decency to call us that they were no longer coming. We called Mike a few days later and Mike said he had some bad news. He said we should look for a backup plan because realistically he would not be able to start our job until October. We told Mike that we feel that we were strung along for over a year and at this point how would we find another company. Mike promised that he would get back to us with a start date once he had an opportunity to check his calendar later that day. At the very latest Mike promised that he would call us the next morning. To date Mike has not called us back. We are very disappointed in Mike as he came across as a very nice young man who was professional. We believed in Mike and it’s a shame that we had to see this side of his personality. We have lost another season as most landscapers are already committed with other jobs. I would strongly suggest that you consider twice about hiring Mike from Kingscape Landscape Construction Group.

If you want excellent quality work by a team of pros, look no further than Kingscape. Mike, Justin, & the rest of the crew were fabulous. We hired the company to landscape our new townhouse in King City. Even though it was a smaller job, Mike & his crew treated it as seriously & professionally as one of their mega projects. The front sidewalk & steps, the rear deck & patio, and all of the planting look fantastic. Mike worked closely with us to create a design appropriate for our lot size, location, & budget. We were so impressed by the team's meticulous attention to detail, their craftsmanship, & thoroughness. As well, they were respectful of our neighbours who all commented on how polite & courteous they were to them. And at the end of each day, they not only cleaned up our lot, but the street as well. Since the job was completed, Mike has dropped by often to ensure the plants are flourishing and that we are completely satisfied with the work. Many of our neighbours have complimented us on how beautiful the landscaping looks & thanked us for increasing their property values! We can't recommend Mike, Justin, & the guys enough.

We met with Mike for the first time in 2012 after spending the good part of a year meeting with other contractors to quote on our job. Right from the beginning, Mike showed respect, confidence, and professionalism as we discussed what we wanted to do. We had a at least 7 or 8 face to face meetings going through options and reviewing budget as Mike was always very patient to work with us in making changes and taking it upon himself to offer suggestions. Our overall comfort with Mike and his ability to see our vision is what drove us to choose Kingscape to do the work on our backyard. The Kingscape team (there are many in the extended group) of Mike, Justin, Adam, and Corey began work on our backyard in August - and they worked everyday until the project was completed. Right from the beginning, the attention to detail and thought that went into their work was clearly evident. No work was ever rushed to just get it completed and time was taken to ensure that everything looked and fit just right. Throughout the entire process, recommendations were made in order to ensure that the final product would be based on our expectations. Everyone completely understood what our vision was and they worked hard to get it just right. What was very comforting throughout all of this is there was no feeling of a money grab or “missed items” from an initial contract. Mike kept all work within the set budget that we agreed to so there were no surprises at the end.

As we came close to completion, it’s the final touches where the team shines and makes a difference. Every little item from paint color, to type of lights used for the landscape lighting, to accessories for the pool, to lighting for the waterfall, etc. was thought about in detail. There were times when Mike would call or email me off hours to talk about an idea. It’s this passion and care about the job that really differentiates these guys from others – and this is not just shown by Mike but by the whole team. We built such a good rapport with the entire group that we trusted them to make final decisions on many things including planting (selection and layout) and the look is just phenomenal.

With the project complete we have to say that we are absolutely amazed at how well it turned out and it is beyond our expectations. Friends and family have come by and were also just amazed at the workmanship that went into making our backyard our oasis. I have and will continue to recommend Kingscape for any landscaping job that you may be considering. You will not find another group of hard working, dedicated, professional, and FAIR individuals anywhere!

This was the second large project that Kingscape has completed for us; the first being a front yard landscaping project (2011), including changing the stone on the house. Needless to say, we were thrilled with the result the first time and equally so with this project. The second project for our backyard was on a larger scale, requiring building permit, excavation etc. Although challenged by a summer of rain, which Mike and the entire Kingscape team managed as well as anyone could, the project was collaborative and exciting, and its execution was highlighted by the team's professionalism, hard work and attention to detail. With a project of this scope, glitches do happen, but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently. It was very important to us how they treated our neighbours. They were respectful, courteous, and cleaned up the worksite on a daily basis. It is the ultimate sign of confidence when neighbours want to hire your contractors.

Mike and Kingscape Landscaping was recommended to us by good friends. We met with Mike during the winter of 2013. During our first meeting he listened to our vision and ideas concerning our backyard. He came back with a plan that included our ideas and wishes but were accentuated by his own creativity and knowledge.
During the spring of 2013 the work began. The work included the construction of a new wooden deck and shed, the installation of a stone patio, landscaping and the transplanting of trees. The worksite was always organized and safe with clean ups being done daily. It was evident that Mike and his associates were enthusiastic, engaged, hard working and highly professional.mWhen questions or concerns arose they were always dealt with promptly and with patience. Mike truly managed the project resulting in a backyard that far exceeded our expectations. He was always focused on our satisfaction while staying within our budget.
During the summer he has contacted us on several occasions to follow up and ensure our continued satisfaction.

We used Kingscape Landscaping to design and landscape our backyard, driveway, walkway, and front yard landscaping. They performed the landscaping from scratch and the final product is stunning.
We were beyond impressed by their talent, work ethic, professionalism, attention to detail, and affordability. They are an all-in-one operation, installing irrigation, planting trees for beauty and privacy, doing stonework in our driveway, installing lighting, building a beautiful outdoor fireplace with flatscreen television and outdoor gaslines in our backyard. Kingscape made excellent use of our limited backyard space to create a stunning setting that now seems very spacious. We will be enjoying our new and beautiful yard for years to come.

We hired Kingscape Landscape Construction Group to completely redo our backyard - patio and landscape and side walkway, as well as a facelift to our front yard (softscape). From our very first meeting with Mike to the completion of the project, we were nothing but impressed. Mike and his entire team displayed incredible workmanship and were always very courteous and polite. Mike was always very attentive to our ideas and so patient with any questions that we may have had. He took pride in the project, as if it were his own home - we appreciated that he put so much thought and attention into every detail. MIke's team is among the best contracting experience that I have ever had. Excellent creative and design, on time, on budget execution and a joy to deal with every day. He is extremely responsive to every query, perfect project management skills and a talented, polite and proficient team. We had an entire outdoor kitchen and fireplace, decks and pergola done with a huge amount of planing. We are essentially the talk of the neighborhood, it looks so good. Also, he does exactly what he says he will do and stands by his workmanship and results. Huge project perfectly executed in 3 weeks.
