My contractor recommended Affordable Woodworking for a bathroom renovation and the product was excellent. 126' vanity that looks custom built. The quality was far superior to comparables at a much better price. Solid wood doors, plywood drawers, dovetail corners. Richard was excellent to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

Richard and Affordable Woodworking helped us build a custom art/work table for our basement. He was amazing to work with, took the time to understand what we need, make good recommendations on materials and details and ended up delivering and installing the table earlier than he estimated. We're extremely satisfied with the end project - the pricing was very reasonable, and the quality and table turned out better than we hoped!

From beginning to end Richard was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is reliable, dependable, professional and detail-oriented which made this reno easy. His up-beat personality and willingness to share ideas were very much appreciated. We ended up adding drawers in our deep pantry where it was always hard to reach products and in other cupboards where it made sense which increased the amount of storage space in our cabinets. Richard was on-site with a worker the day of the installation making sure everything was completed as planned. We would definitely recommend Affordable Woodworking as a contractor.

I contacted Richard based on reviews to build a window bench with flanking bookcases. I described the project to him on the phone and he was very friendly and upfront about his process and the timing in which the project could be completed. He then provided an estimate based on my rough dimensions and inspiration photos. When he came for the site visit, the detailed quote was in keeping with what was discussed and was reasonable. He was very easy to work with throughout. There was some back and fourth regarding small detail changes to the design, and he was very easy going about this, and offered his expert opinions as well.

He installed the unit in one day and exactly on schedule! He was very respectful of our home and left my place tidy. The end result was better than imagined and has completely transformed an unused den into a cozy spot for my kids to play and read. I can't wait to share photos once I receive the bench cushion.

26 Cupboard doors and 4 drawers in our kitchen had to be adjusted, aligned and made sturdy enough for our daily usage. Richard went straight to what could be fixed and what needed to be built again. He made a point of finishing on time AND he took pride in the quality of his work. We thought we had to change our entire kitchen cabinets. Fortunately Richard came to the rescue. He replaced all our hinges (52) with much better ones so we don't bump into the same problem down the road. He rebuilt our drawers. I would recommend him to anyone who cares about quality and needs the advice of a professional.

This was the 2nd time that my wife and I have used Richard's business for a renovation project. This time we required that he produce a custom and practical bathroom vanity. The problem was that due to a communication issue on our side, we needed it very quickly.
Although Richard is VERY busy and especially now with Covid and Christmas he came through big time. Here are the pictures of our NEW vanity installed yesterday in record time. The quality and utility of the vanity have greatly exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled.

Richard fabricated five replacement glazed kitchen cabinet doors to match our existing millwork. It was custom work but he is very detail-oriented and did a great job. Quick fabrication, high quality install. Highly recommended.
