Tree Removal

Andrew was quick to respond to my request for a quote to remove a tree that was dead and dangerously leaning towards the house. His quote was very fair and included removing the roots, and he came by when promised and finished the job quickly and left the area clean. Would highly recommend both Andrew and his company, was a pleasure to do business with him.

tree removal

Unlike most contractors in my experience - these guys showed up exactly when they said they would (without a big wait), did a great job in a tricky area, cleaned up well, and cost what they promised! Gregg (North York)

Tree Removal

I had 3 very large spruce trees (50-60 feet high) that I wanted removed. Two of them were very close to the house, but Andrew and his team made it look easy. Rob came by and gave me an extremely reasonable quote, less than I expected due to the size of the trees. They showed up when they said they would, did an excellent job and left the property neater than they found it! They even took away an old pile of branches that I hadn't found the time to clean up myself. I fully intend to ask them back to do a spring clean-up on the remaining trees and will highly recommend them to everybody I know. I tried to get them back for a spring clean-up but was informed they don't do my area anymore due to getting a big contract. I'm very disappointed in them.

Tree Pruning

We needed to have some large trees pruned in our backyard. A large branch coming from our neighbor's tree was extremely close to our house and represented an issue for our eavestroughs etc. Andrew was very quick to respond and was very professional in his approach to assessing our issues , providing the quote and most importantly , completing the job on time and to specs. His team not only resolved the issues but they left our yard much cleaner than how they found it. Great company - would highly recommend and will use again in the future.

Tree removal, stump grinding

I strongly recommend Andrew and his team (Ian and Al, and his friendly dad, Rob) to anyone looking for a tree service performed.

First of all, Andrew came out to do a quote and obtained an exemption from the City for me for my tree removal. He did this for FREE, ie without any request for money or to engage his services. I had three other tree companies tell me that there was no way that the City would grant an exemption and two of the three wanted $100-$200 to write the arborist report to send to the city if I did decide to request the exemption. Andrew's work saved me at least $700, not to mention the arborist report.

Second, his quote was very reasonable. This was probably what got my husband's attention.

Third, his team was extremely courteous, efficient, and clean. I mean, they cleaned up my yard, my NEIGHBOR's yard (who does that these days?), and of course, all the debris from the tree removal.

Fourth, they were on time and came within the time frame we agreed upon.

Finally, Andrew came back, when I had a request to do some more stump grinding, and did a great job.

There are few people that go the distance to really make you feel like you are a valued client. Andrew is one of those people.

removed trees next to foundation

The Re: Leaf team responded quickly to our request for a quote, and then was able to perform the work very quickly as well. They removed three trees (two very small ones, and one larger) from the property, cleaned up and left us the chopped logs to use as firewood. Personable and efficient and reasonably priced, this was a very positive experience.

Tree Pruning & Remove

Andrew does a great pruning and cleaning up once the job is done. Raked up and leaf blowed the remaining pieces, even the main road where the shredder was located.
I needed a exemption for one of my trees which was hazardous, Andrew was able to advise on the spot and send the request to the city. He came back once the exemption came through and honoured his original quoted price, even though he had to come back again. A pleasure to have worked with him.

$1,000.00
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Get at least 3 quotes! Arborist's seem to be a busy bunch to book, always 3-4 weeks out unless it's a emergency.

Andrew Evans H.L.T. is the owner and founder of ReLeaf Group and an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist.

Andrew unearthed his passion for trees during his high school summer vacation job at a local nursery, where he was introduced to all the different trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials. His first experience with nature was a lasting one. After two summers at the nursery he was hired as an Ontario junior ranger with the Ministry of Natural Resources and was stationed in northern Ontario, tasked with maintaining canoe portage trails and tree planting.

After graduating from high school, he knew he wanted to pursue a career in the green industry. He spent the next three years studying at Humber College graduating with honors in arboriculture (the care of trees) and received an honours diploma in landscape horticulture. He was awarded the Board of Governors' Award, which honours the most accomplished student.

From Humber College, Andrew was immediately hired by the City of Toronto and over the next thirteen years he was involved in pruning, removal, planting, fertilizing and inspection of trees in city parks and streets. As part of an select group, he spent six of those years working under contract to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency where he was trained to inspect trees for infestation of the Asian Long Horned Beetle and the Emerald Ash Borer.

The ReLeaf Group was founded as a part-time business to provide tree care service to private home owners but his exceptional reputation soon grew his business into a full time venture.

Extensive credentials combined with expansive experience!
