Mike definitely tops the list of all service technicians I have ever had do work for me. I would rate him 10+ as he went beyond what I would have expected. In addition to the dryer hook up, I had asked him to check my gas stove as I thought I detected a leak. He located the leak and gave thorough advice on next steps to resolve the problem, even providing pointers specific to our situation, should we need to replace the old stove. He was prompt with communication in advance, arrived on time, left everything clean and in good working order and his price was as quoted. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Mike Shurben is very professional. He was very helpful to me in choosing a gas stove that would fit my particular kitchen. He did an excellent job with the installation of the gas line and stove. In addition, he was very tidy and explained everything to me. I have been telling all my friends about him.

Mike is a contractor who definitely demonstrates pride of craftsmanship! We had around 35 feet of piping installed indoors and outside including interior and exterior shutoffs. The job was done on time and professionally!

We moved into our new home in June 2016. The home was built in 1969 and we wanted to install a gas BBQ and Stove. We did a quick search on Google and found Mike Shurben through Homestars. We sent an email on Sunday and got a call back within hours. Installation of both was done within a day, work station was setup outside and all parts were already on site to complete the work. Very professional. A leak was noticed at main line to the home, Mike notified me right away and knew exactly what to do and who to call for this at Enbridge. Wouldn't hesitate to work with again.

I recently hired Mike to install a gas line to my kitchen and then hook up my new gas range. The service was fantastic and I would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking into having similar work done. He is extremely knowledgeable and has lots of helpful tips for anyone using gas for the first time.

Mike recently installed my gas range and was extremely helpful before he arrived. He recommended additional safety measures from my builder to hook up the gas line. Once hooked up he walked me through tips on using the range and it's functionality. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Mike to friends and family in the future.

I hadn't read any reviews about Mike when I decided to hire him. The information on his website and the amount of time he spent with me on our first call was more than enough to convince me that he was the right person for the job. Reading through the other reviews on this site I can tell you that they are 100% accurate and Mike truly deserves a perfect 10.

I first found Mike though a Google search. I gave him a call expecting to get an answering machine and a callback, but nope... he picked up the phone and spent at least 20 minutes answering my questions. He didn't seem at all concerned with the amount of time he was spending with me. I was blown away.

The job was to ultimately install a new gas range. However, it was a high power unit which involved up-sizing existing gas lines, running new gas lines through hard to reach places, and dealing with more stringent rules and regulations regarding the clearances to combustible materials.

Long story short, this is why Mike deserves a perfect 10.

1). Every time I called he picked up the phone (he was was also very prompt in replying to email)
2). He was always friendly, accommodating, and easy to communicate with
3). He was very knowledgeable about code requirements and best practices
4). He was aware of various products on the market and was able to choose and install the best products for the particular situation
5). He helped plan out the entire installation to be sure it would be successful
6). He was always punctual when arriving at my home and would always call when he was on his way
7). His workmanship was excellent - I can't imagine anyone doing a better job
8). He was very tidy and respectful of our home
9). He was honest about everything every step of the way
10). The quoted price was the final price despite a lot of extra effort and care

I would definitely recommend Mike to family and friends. He exceeded my expectations and simply went above and beyond in every way.

From estimate to job completion, Mike was professional, friendly, and accommodating. He was always prompt in responding to e-mails and answering and returning phone calls. I found the price fair considering the job was both a BBQ and a dryer. I highly recommend Mike to do any gas related work.
