Taras and his team transformed our house into a home. I cannot express how amazing they were in their craftsmanship, attention to detail, their ability to get things done and their professionalism. Our first floor went from 3 rooms to open concept, our hardwood floors upgraded and our bathroom and kitchen renovated to fit a beautiful, modern esthetic. I would not hesitate to go with Double T again for future renos or to recommend them to anyone in search of a GC. Taras is your consummate perfectionist and strives for excellence. Taras and his team just finished a spectacular reno on my bathroom, laundry room, and bedroom. The bathroom is truly jaw-dropping. The workmanship is flawless, and all of his team is a pleasure to deal with - professional, considerate, and highly skilled.

Taras is one of the most professional people I have dealt with - clearly explains things, design choices, and delivers his work on time and on budget. He clearly takes great pride in all his work -- and is easy to work with. And will go the extra mile to make sure that the work is exceptional. An in older homes that can be challenging, but he makes it all work. I really wanted exposed brick in the bathroom - and he figured out how to make it beautiful and durable. I almost don't want to write this review - as I want to work again with him - and I don't want him to get too busy :)

We hired Double T contracting to completely gut and renovate our main bathroom, and are so glad we did. Taras and his crew were professional and friendly, arriving when they said they would every day, and the project finished at the schedule and budget we agreed on. Taras was helpful in giving advice on materials and layout, and even came back over 2 months later to install a custom mirror I finally managed to order. I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone who has need of a contractor that is honest and a pleasure to work with!

I have hired Double T Contracting Inc. to do a number of projects at my Cabbagetown home and I would recommend Taras and his team without reservation or qualification. The Double T team is skilled, professional, and attentive to detail.

In late 2013, Double T gutted a dilapidated washroom on the 2nd floor of my home. After doing so, they levelled the very crooked floor, reframed and insulated the walls, wired in new electrical and radiant floor heating, updated the plumbing, custom built a large shower, put in a retro-looking toilet and sink, and installed black and white tiling to give the room a desired Art Deco look. Although Taras and his crew had to work in a small space, their work transformed the area into a comfortable and inviting room.

The excellent work completed by Double T on the bathroom in late 2013, however, was outdone when the team installed a new IKEA kitchen in early 2015. Once again, the entire room was gutted to the brick, reframed, insulated thermally and acoustically, rewired, drywalled, and painted. New plumbing was also put into place. The back wall to the kitchen was also removed and structurally reinforced to add the mud room at the back end of the house to the kitchen. The results were stunning: drawers and cabinets from floor to the 9 ft. high ceiling, an L-shaped granite countertop, funky backsplash, large stainless sink and counter next to the south window, roomy pantry, new fridge with French doors, and traditional hardwood flooring. Numerous LED pot lights, retro diner pendant lights, and hidden lighting under the glassed cupboards, provides different options that I never had previously. My only complaint in the entire renovation process was directed not at Double T but at IKEA, which was repeatedly out of stock for certain cabinetry items, a problem which was eventually resolved.

During the bathroom and kitchen renovations, I worked closely with Taras to discuss general concepts and features, including my desire for a retro look. And owing to the experience, craftsmanship, and skills of the Double T team, the two rooms quickly took shape with amazing results.

Taras and his guys did a fabulous job on our kitchen, turned out exactly as we had envisaged and they were a pleasure to work with.

Taras and Terry are meticulous in their workmanship and skill set. You could not ask for a better contractor. Extremely professional and caring. We used them for two main bathroom reno's the last being in November of 2015. Quality of service is exceptional. Called twice to make sure that we were happy with their work. They helped make all the decisions easy for the homeowner and gave valuable insight to any concerns that we might have. Would recommend them and would use them again. 100% satisfied with this company.

We hired Taras and his guys for another kitchen reno in our new house which we purchased in June 2015. We had used his company for a kitchen reno in our old house less than a year earlier and were VERY happy with the results, so it was a simple decision to hire him again. Scope of work was gutting the existing kitchen, moving walls to open up the space, installing a kitchen island, new cupboards, new granite counters etc . The results were fantastic and Taras and his team were a pleasure to work with (again!). We love our new kitchen and would definitely use his team again for future renos , as well as recommend him to anyone who asks.

I can't say enough glowing things about Taras and his team. They are just putting the final touches on a full renovation of my home, and i have been impressed from day 1. The quality of the work and attention to detail are unparalleled, as are the professionalism and work ethic of each member of the team. My neighbours have come to me to tell me how impressed they are by what they see - a clean work site, very full workdays, team meetings on the porch to talk about project status, and to assign work. The things that give one comfort when living off-site. And of course, those who have done the tour, are in awe. Taras has an excellent eye for design, and has steered me away from poor choices more than once. He is at all times courteous, and prompt to respond to my calls. He has incredible integrity, is a great problem-solver, is extremely organized and is an absolute pleasure to work with. The result is a stunning home that i am so proud of.

I was having trouble finding a contractor to renovate our basement after the floods last year for close to the amount that the insurance offered. After getting some quotes that I wasn't too happy with, I remembered the work that Taras had done for me a few years ago on our upstairs bathroom and gave him a call. Very happy that I did.

It wasn't your typical renovation. They managed to save a lot of the old wood panelling that I loved and Taras had some interesting ideas on how to make the basement more fresh and vibrant. He explained thoroughly what needed to be done and gave me plenty of options to chose from, while still keeping to my budget.

The work was completed in the time frame given, and I am very happy with the results . I highly recommend Double T Contracting. Very knowledgeable and professional.

Despite the soggy start to the spring and persistent rain Taras and his crew managed getting my rear addition off the ground quickly while maintaining a tidy and safe construction site. The project unfolded smoothly from phase to phase. They doubled the size of the house and now I have my dream kitchen and fabulous entertaining space! The vaulted ceiling and skylights highlight the kitchen & family room !! The input and design ideas suggested by Taras took my initial plan from impressive to spectacular! I would not hesitate to recommend Double T Contracting to anyone! Thanks to all for your hard work !
