ProRise Painting and Gutters

ProRise was very professional throughout the project. Joseph came over for a thorough quote and was very patient with me throughout the project. He was very informative and helped answer any questions I had in a timely manner. We ended up getting our ~1000 sq ft apartment repainted (just the walls, 6 doors, and some ceiling work. no trim)

The painting crew was very friendly and professional. They were punctual, did a great job in painting our place and never complained if there were touch ups to be made. They completed the job in 2 days.

I noticed there were minor issues when they left but ProRise came back the following day with no questions or pushback to adjust any last concerns I had. I highly recommend these guys!

Great experience from the first proposal meeting. Joseph and his team are professional, courteous and dependable!! Alvin and Pablo were great communicators, they did a great job in a short amount of time. During Covid its hard to imagine strangers coming in and out of your home, but they were so respectful of our time and space. Not often do you get underpromised and overdelivered services - this was one of those rare times. Job was finished earlier than expected with no hiccups and only very minor deficiencies which were rectified immediately. Not the cheapest service but you get what you pay for :) Would recommend to anyone looking for painting.

We were very pleased with the painting job from ProRise. We had our entire townhouse painted while still living in the space. The team supervisor was excellent at communicating their progress and plan for the next day so we could prepare accordingly. The team was friendly and hard working and did a great job of cleaning up each day. We will definitely use Prorise for future painting projects and would highly recommend their services.

Alvin & his team did a wonderful job, in a timely manner, and were very kind throughout. Used them on 2 homes so far, and would definitely use them again!

This is our third time working with ProRise. As soon as they came in, they put covers on the floor, taped plastic sheets to the walls, and covered all the furniture. They scraped the pop corn on the ceiling in the living room and kitchen (~ 500 sqft), plastered the ceiling to make it flat and uniform, and painted everything in 3 days. They cleaned, as best as they could, after they were done every day. Showed up on time, were friendly, communicative, and courteous.

Interior paint job for our newly purchased house in Langley, Joseph, and Pablo are great to work with, they explained to me well about different aspects of the project. We took their recommendations and they transformed our house into something like on HGTV.

After the project is finished, Joseph and Pablo both took care of our concerns, and completed the project like we originally discussed.

We are extremely happy, and recommend to anyone who is looking for a painting contractor.

After a recent move, our basement was a mess with poorly done wainscotting and painting. We had to rip off 700 lbs of wainscotting, creating significant damage to the drywall. The previous paint colour was also really dark so we were wondering how easy it would be to cover up. The team at Prostar did an exceptional job of patching up the drywall and then painting our walls & ceiling, covering up the previously awful paint job. Our basement looks fresh and new now - Prostar was meticulous in their work, the workers were respectful (and always followed COVID protocols), they always cleaned up after each day, and we were impressed by their excellent communication on the progress of the project. Would definitely recommend!

Where do I start? Prorise painting is a company with a great reputation and excellent reviews. Their employees are great and the quality of work is good as well. Sergio especially is an amazing addition to any team and has the work ethic and skills that can't be matched. They are responsible when it comes to fixing problems in the job and dealing with warranty related issues. That is however where the good points end. The management team at Prorise lacks communication and responsibility. On our project, everything was split into 3 phases on our request. On the first phase a seemingly $5900 job somehow had an extra 20 hours of labour work added on, even though the original scope was never changed. The estimator failed to properly determine the actual number of hours required and thus the job ran over schedule delaying the other trades. The production manager was difficult to reach and only made 1 phone call during the entire first phase. Once we got through to discuss the overage on hours, I was told "it's a renovation these things happen ". Missed dates and no shows were common and there was never any communication made until after the fact. This would be when an excuse would be made in regards to why the no show occurred. However, these excuses do not hold water. Because of a tight schedule and other complications which would prevent me from using a different company, we were stuck with Prorise to have the job completed. During phase 2, the job start was delayed by 4 days and with only 2 business days of notice, after which the job end was delayed by a further 1 day due to the team leaving half way through the first day to go to a different job site. Furthermore, during phase 3, when I emailed the day prior to the scheduled job start date to confirm a start time, I was told that they would have to call back to confirm. After making call after call that would go to voicemail, I finally got through and was informed that the job start would be delayed by another day. To be fair, I did have to reschedule job starts a couple of times due to delays in other areas however, I would always give at least 1.5 weeks notice. All in all the entire job has been a communication disaster with an irresponsible management team and surprise charges. Although the job has been done very well, the delays and extra charges have caused a great inconvenience to me and all the other trades working on the project. If schedule and budget are not important to you and you are fine with a job which is done very well with great finishes, just on an unpredictable schedule and possible hourly overages, this can be a great fit for you. If schedule and budget are a priority for you, I would suggest outlining these points before jobstart as it is not something that is clear at Prorise.
