We were very pleased with the service. Despite a difficult job, the team were able to take down a large overhanging branch without damage to the gardens below. They also cleaned up everything before they left. We have already recommended Bruce Tree to a neighbour and will contact them again when needed.

What a fabulous job! The team was incredibly professional; they brought the branch (which looked huge to me) down in pieces with no damage to the surrounding garden or deck. I expected all sorts of rogue branches to fall on my plants - didn't happen. I'm so happy!

I hired Bruce Tree to trim a very large cedar hedge around my backyard pool. Their crew did an excellent job and was very professional. As well, the customer service offered by their office staff was top notch. I highly recommend Bruce Tree Company.

I have hired Bruce Tree 3 times since we purchased our home in Etobicoke back in 2013. I have always been very impressed with the level of service we receive from their office staff and the team on-site. They are true professionals! Knowledgable, courteous and their final clean up is impeccable--like they were never there! I would hire them again and again to take care of my trees! Do NOT hire this company! I hired them to remove a large diseased maple tree located in my back yard next to a custom built composite deck. Unfortunately, during the tree removal process, the one and only crewman dropped a large piece of the tree trunk onto the composite deck rail board, causing it to break in half upon impact, with further considerable damage to the surrounding areas of the railing. The crewman offered to go to Home Depot and replace the board with a "wood" board. I am not sure how he could not see the deck was not built from wood! I called the office the next day and was told to get several quotes. Unfortunately, after consulting the original contractor who built the deck, it was determined that the original material that the railing was constructed from was no longer available, and that the only resolution moving forward was to replace the entire deck railing. Upon hiring “Bruce Tree Expert Company Ltd.”, I thought I did my due diligence in making sure they had insurance, but when I requested his Insurer's name 'after the fact', they told me “their deductible was too high and they were not going to make a claim with their Insurance Company.”
After 5 months, Mr. Ian Bruce came to inspect the deck personally and assured me he would definitely call me back but it might be a few weeks. After waiting 4 months it became very apparent that he had no intention of calling me back or by doing the right thing in repairing the deck. I called the office from June 29th to July 5th leaving daily messages and on July 5th, during my 2nd call that day, I was told Mr. Bruce was definitely going to call me back later that day. To no surprise, I did not receive a call. As the Bruce Tree Company is liable for the damage they caused to the deck, they were responsible to repair the damage back to what it was before this happened no matter what it took. After 2 years of push back, Mr. Bruce stated that they were willing to replace the one board that had been broken. As seen in the attached pictures, there was much further damage than to the one rail board, posts were cracked and the entire area of the railing was compromised. After an extremely stressful situation dealing with a company who doesn't take responsibility for their actions, I ended up having to pay an additional $1500.00 to have the railing replaced due to the damage caused by the Bruce Tree Expert Company Ltd.

Our new home came with a monster tree in the backyard which caused us great concern as the previous owner had never maintained it and it had a lean. I was extremely impressed with the time Ian Bruce took to look at the tree and ease my worry. He was generous with his time and knowledge and was especially patient with my 1001 questions as a first time home owner. We will definitely hire him to trim our monster next summer. Thank you!

I have the good fortune of living in a very leafy neighbourhood. Bruce Tree was the first service supplier of any kind I hired after I purchased my home 10 years ago, which came with 3 mature trees (one very old, two in their prime). Since then, I have called upon Bruce Tree Expert Company's services several more times (regular pruning of my own trees; removal of overhanging branches from neighbours's trees; fertilization of my Red Maple, advice on the condition of my leaning Norway Maple). I have always been extremely satisfied with the professionalism, punctuality, courtesy and integrity of Ian Bruce and his crew.
A few years ago, I also recommended Bruce Tree to a very good friend in North York, who was equally impressed.
Ian is a mentor to many in the profession, and the best in the business have often learned the ropes from him, when he was teaching at Humber College. During those same ten years, I have also come to observe various other crews working on neighbours's trees - and none of what I have seen there will ever make me switch over (working without helmets or gloves, with loose bootlaces, smoking on the job, incl. while working with heavy machinery). I have often recommended Bruce Tree to others and will continue to do so. They are simply the best.

I hired "Bruce Tree" to get me over the hurdle with the City regarding a permit to injure a tree (arborist report). They originally charged me $5000.00 for the two reports they produced. After questioning them about their accounting they went down to 4500.00. The worse part is that they ended up creating more problems for me with the City which resulted on my permit to be denied. I expressed my dissatisfaction of their service to the owner Ian Bruce, who never even replied to my concerns.

I would never use them again and I would never recommend them to any one. The charge too much and don't get any results.
