We loved Kurt and his crew! Not only are they friendly but Kurt took the time to listen to our design ideas. They completed the project in a timely manner and it looks amazing! We can’t wait to get into the backyard and hang out when the weather warms up!

We had previous landscaping done that was a mess. Distinctive Designs came in and redid the layout and created us a beautiful space. Very professional, came in kept clean worked hard days and finished the job in excellent time. We are very picky customers and changed our minds several times. They completely accommodated us and did not leave until we were 100 percent satisfied and we were. Will definitely use them again in our future projects.

For a long time we have talked about creating a backyard oasis for us and our two kids. A place to entertain and hangout. Before contacting Kurt we had looked at designs quoted and they all seemed very similar. There was nothing unique or nothing "Wow". When we connected with Kurt told him to let his imagine run wild. He did exactly that and created us a unique space with amazing material. Yes we did hit some bumps when we started the build but Kurt was calm and came to us with solutions that we love. Looking forward to working with Kurt and the team again.

The crew from Distinctive Designs is by far the best we've ever worked with, right from the design phase all the way through completion, Distinctive Designs looked ahead at design decisions and provided us with options that would not only look amazing, but be functional! Our job consisted of removing older wooden structures and rebuilding in stone, dealing with a pool, gas, electrical, and lighting. This team also kept in touch with us right through the COVID lockdown making sure we were always kept up-to-date with what was happening and when. They took special care to ensure that everything we did would hold to our intended vision, and even went out of the way to look into other design options that may align better with what we wanted. The team set a timeframe and delivered!

I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a landscaping company, and have already started to think of new jobs for our house in the future!

I moved into my house last year and the front and back definitely needed an update. Both looked like they were put in around the time the house was built. As you do with a large investment I reached out to several companies for quotes and from the first meeting with Kurt (Distinctive Designs Landscaping) he was professional, knowledgeable, creative, and was creating a plan based on the conversation we were having. Once the job began the team was professional, efficient, and did an amazing job. At the same time Kurt answered any question or concerns, communicated any changes that needed to be made to make the design work, and recommended a couple updates that 100% completed the look.

Everyone who has seen the completed landscaping absolutely loves the look, materials, and colours. I honestly cannot recommend Kurt and his team enough. If/when I have work in the future I will be reaching back out to Kurt and his team.

Where to begin complimenting this company? We made the best decision (after several quotes) to go with Kurt and Distinctive Designs Landscaping. We moved into our house 2 years ago, and the yard was in a state of disrepair. The wood deck was old and had never been maintained properly. The previous owner had cut down a large tree and left the stump in place. There were weeds all over the place, despite our efforts to fix the lawn.

We got several quotes for landscaping, and Kurt's price was very competitive. However, it was not just about the price. The other contractors hardly stayed for more than 5-10 minutes. Kurt stayed for over an hour during our first meeting. He took the time to discuss our project with us, and that really made a difference to us.

Our project included:
- demolition of wood porch, wood deck and wood gazebo;
- removal of large tree stump;
- fixing the fence and replacing the gate;
- demolition of old concrete pad for hot tub;
- pouring new concrete pad;
- building retaining wall at the back of the property;
- regrading and resoding entire backyard;
- new stone patio and walkways; new stone porch; new fire pit.

Kurt's team members were all very nice, professional and courteous.They kept the site very tidy and clean at the end of each day.

The final result is amazing. Our new front porch is absolutely stunning! Our backyard is so much more functional now, and the stone patio and walkways were done very nicely. We are very pleased with the work!
