Hardwood Giant

We were renovating our basement and were undecided as to whether to go with laminate or engineered wood flooring. After much research and several weeks of searching everywhere in the Hamilton, Burlington area we came across a flyer advertising the Hardwood Giant Flooring Store. We went into the location and were helped by sales representative, Anjum, who explained the difference, as well as, the pros and cons of both products. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped us make the decision of buying the engineered flooring. In summary, we were extremely pleased with the Hardwood Giant product quality, as well as, their prices and that we highly recommend to anyone looking to buy any type of flooring.

Anjum from Hardwood Giant gave me a fantastic deal. When it came to the install, I was shocked. They went over and above and beyond all my expectations. Stellar work. They came and in three days everything was done. I didn't expect speed, accuracy, and perfection could go hand in hand. From the the front end with sales (effortless), to the back end with the install (awesome). I would use them again in a heartbeat! No question!

Was looking around for some non-traditional color for flooring, stopped by Hardwood Giant store in Scarborough and there was exactly what I was looking for. A.J helped me to choose the right product for my need - live in a condo so there are specific requirements. He followed up with my order and any time when I called him with questions he answered right away. Thank you A.J.

I have had the opportunity to work with AJ from the Burlington store on many occasions over the last 4-5 years. He has always provided me with excellent service, product advice and competitive pricing.
The showroom is large and the display boards are conveniently arranged to make an easy decision on your new flooring.
The quality of the hardwood has always met or exceeded my expectations. Delivery has generally been on time and at a reasonable rate.

I would no suggest using this company. For the first order I had them do the install. They left half the materials on the truck and only unloaded half. I had to question them as to why they hadn't given my all the material I purchased. Beware of this tactic.

I had to order the rest of my material to match. They had made it extremely difficult ie: not giving my installer the wood even tho it was paid in full and they were told he would be picking it up.
They did not have the wood in stock.
They pressure you to pick up immediately or threaten to return to the warehouse.
They refused to give me the owners name or allow me to make a complaint..
So here is my advice...avoid dealing with this company.

Purchased my laminate from Anjum in the Burlington store. Great service, great quality and a great price. This is my second purchase and I will go back for future flooring needs.

Major helped us pick the right floor for our home by listening to our story and showing us why the product we were buying was perfect for us.
Installation was on time and within the time that they specified. The companies on site quality manager made sure that all our concerns were addressed.

Had the flooring sitting for about 9 months before the job was done. i had 4 boxes left over, and was able to return them although the deadline for returns had expired. No hassle. Thanks, Great customer service. Lots of complements about the flooring.

We had Hardwood Giant in Burlington (Fairview St.) install about 600 sqft of red oak flooring, including nosing on two 12ft steps. Anjum Perveez at the showroom was very helpful in assessing the situation and in assuring us that they would be able to install the flooring within a tight timeline, and alleviated our concerns with respect to providing much of the payment before installation. The two installers (Jaweed and Nassam) did an excellent and efficient job of installing, and were very friendly and customer oriented during the process. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hardwood Giant in Burlington to others wishing to have hardwood flooring installed. For Do It Yourselfers, the price of the hardwood was lower than that at the other outlets that we checked out by over 20%, and appeared to be of at least as high quality.

I went and bought the hardwood and carpet during one of the big sales. Had good customer service at sale time but since the installation of my hardwood it has been nothing but issues and bad service.

The hardwood installation was done very quick but sloppy with several Knicks in the hardwood that are very obvious to the point where everyone who comes to see it have commented. I contacted Shaik and Anjum to state my concern and they seemed quite accommodating but of course that was all smoke and mirrors as 3 months later there is still no resolution.

They have horrible business practices and as long as everything goes well that all is good but if you have any issues then good luck getting any resolution.

I have contacted them several times as we are still waiting for our carpet installation which was on backorder until mid-February. They were supposed to come yesterday so I arranged my work day to be home when they came. I got a call about an hour and a half after they were supposed to be here to say that the installer had to cancel because of an emergency.

I contacted the company directly as well as the sales person to state my concern and surprisingly have not heard back from either of them. I highly doubt I will ever see my hardwood get repaired or my carpet installed.

I have contacted the Better Business Bureau as well to file a complaint.

I am a very patient person and have never filed a bad complaint against a service or company until now.

Buyer beware. Better to pay more and get better service and consideration.
