Harding's Painting Calgary

In the last couple of years I have had occasions to use the services of Harding's Painting and I have experienced great service. Matt came over, inspected and quoted on our requirements. The work was done by painter Nick - good man, as promised and on time. Matt followed through, made sure we were happy. More work was done later by painter George, again with their professionalism and attention to detail. I can highly recommend this company.
I also like to mention the fact that Harding's did an exterior paint job on 46 homes in our community during 2020/2021 season and it was done
without any complaints from the residents to everyone's great
satisfaction. Good people to work with!

Harding painted at our house years ago. We thought it would be ok to get a quote for painting in our new condo we downsized into.
George from Harding called us and came over to fulfill the estimate.
We went with Harding again and George send Nick to do our job that was 2.5 days appropriately.
The professional service Nick gave us was the best we could ever want. He was extremely hard working and highly skilled! Nick work very very hard and did an excellent job!! Nick was the best painter we ever had! If we were to get more painting done we want Nick to do it. We highly recommend the team of George and especially Nick who painted. He cleaned up at the end of every day and arrived early every day to do a highly skilled professional job.

Contracted Harding's to paint the exterior stucco of our home. Their crew was quick, friendly and professional. Completed the job on time and for a reasonable price. Even came back to do some minor touchups without the need for many reminders from me. Would very clearly recommend to others!

The boys were great in the beginning very friendly very accommodating but it looks like they rush the job and when I would comment something didn’t look right the manager said it’s because I picked a darker colour. Rude. They didn’t fix any nail pops and was told 2 were going to be here but only one was here the majority of the job. The other had his own painting gig. Behind a pedestal sink wasn’t even painted. I had 2 minutes to look at their work and picked a couple of things. They had to repaint a master bath wall which they did. The other stuff I didn’t catch right away. They have the gift to gab to hopefully make you happy. Don’t fall for it!

We had been pleased with Harding's interior paint. We went single source to get our deck painted. Subcontracted work. The work was acceptable. We were told the deck needed extra prep hence the price. That prep took half an hour End of the day the onsite time was at $200 per hour. Rod followed up with us and was very pleasant but basically said sorry that is what we charge. We felt the charge was too much for the time spent.

I worked with matt Whiteley and he did a great job, the quote was given to us in a timely manner, the pricing was great and the quality of work was better. I would highly recommend to friends for future work or those looking for their home to be painted.

Matt from Hardings was knowledgeable and professional when helping us to decide on the options for our main floor, stairs and upstairs landing replacement of oak doors, trim and full repaint project. He listened and provided great ideas, he became a trusted advisor. The doors, trim and drywall was handled by Laszlo who was friendly and did excellent quality work which was matched by the fantastic painting from Jason, we were especially impressed by Jasons’ prep work and attention to deal which culminated in the best painting work we have experienced. What stands out is the way this team focused on all the little things that ultimately made this project a very Positive Experience.

I am so pleased with the paint job recently done by Attila and his associate. It was area in a dark hallway, as well as a steep stairwell with an extremely high ceiling - a job that had been staring at me for sometime, ever since we moved into this residence a couple of years ago. I wanted to mount pictures on the lower part, but knew it needed to be painted first.
After putting off tackling the job myself, I finally called Atilla through Harding's Painting, and he came quickly to assess the job, and gave me a quote. He and his painter Jonathan arrived while I was at work, checked in with my husband, and by the time I returned in the late afternoon, the job was beautifully done, and all evidence of the work had been cleaned up, and the furniture and art work returned (where dry). All I had to do was sit back and relax and admire the lovely new colour, ready for a lovely display of my family and travel photos.
I would highly recommend Atilla and his team!

Competent and good service in many ways BUT the person doing the job is still a SUBCONTRACTOR. They had a new subcontractor paint all the wooden windows on my bungalow. It turned out he had no experience with wooden windows in Canadian climate. While HARDING's checked on him and didn't let him off the hook until the job was done to their standards, HARDING's still left me with hard-to-fix damage: 1) HARDING's subcontractor put more paint on the front door than the door could take and still close, the green paint ripped all along the inner edge exposing the previous white coat. I showed it to HARDING's, but they had no issue leaving such a job behind: "we had to put on these coats to cover the white with green color". A guarantee of worksmansip is only as good as the people behind it. 2) The subcontractor planed the sides of my wooden storm windows too much, and as a result they have lost their fit and leak a lot of cold air. Experienced local painters know not to do this. This is disastrous and I would have considered legal action had it been possible to demonstrate that the windows were fitting properly before the HARDING's subcontractor wrecked them. No, I will not hire HARDING's again.

I engaged Harding's after obtaining 2 other quotes. They were priced competitively, no surprises there. I chose them primarily due to word of mouth. They have done a number of the houses in my neighborhood, including some stucco paint jobs that were a few years old. That was the deciding factor, the quality of the finish over time.

The process was pretty straightforward, no surprises. Minor issues were re-mediated immediately. The color of the house is exactly what I expected. Very little additional mess to clean up, the crew did a reasonable job of tidying up every day. My wife, who works from home, had no complaints during the process.

All in all, I'm quite satisfied.
