Pretty Handy Guy

This is the second time we've hired John to work for us. He recommends paint type, discusses options and does excellent work. We will definitely hire him again for any paint or decor work, since he's very reliable, skilled, quick, and detail-oriented. Couldn't ask for a better contractor.

After being so satisfied with the workmanship John has done on other projects of mine, I asked him to make my fireplace look beautiful as it was quite an eye soar. We discussed various options and in the end agreed to go with something that was consistent with the look of my house and style. He did a magnificent job in transforming it into a look that I absolutely love. Everyone that comes in to visit compliments it too!!! You won't go wrong with hiring John, he is so talented.

I discovered John through HomeStars and hired him to install and paint 10 doors, including a barn door for the laundry room. He also installed and painted trim around the doors as well as baseboards in several rooms, closets and a hallway.

I can't say enough positive things about the quality of his work, attention to detail, work ethic and personality. He's fantastic to work with and I'm absolutely thrilled with the transformation in my home. I definitely recommend John and will absolutely hire him again for future projects.

I found John on Homestars due to his high reviews. He definitely exceeded them. John installed trim around our recently replaced windows and new baseboards. His artistic background helps when choosing colors. John is conscientious, patient, calm and funny. His work is detailed and well done. The additional benefit of John is that he is a pleasure to have around. John will be back in September!

John had previously done a number of smaller repairs in my home. When we discussed the possibility of renovating my kitchen, John’s responses totally inspired me to go ahead with confidence with this project….one of the best decisions I have ever made!

John gutted the kitchen, built and installed new cabinets, put up a back splash, a task which was made more complex by the types of tiles I chose and my specific design requests. In addition, he installed my new microwave, necessitating drilling through the bricks in order to add the external vent to the outside. John also painted my kitchen (twice, because I initially selected a color which did not work, and we finally used a shade that John recommended). He also added new baseboards. John suggested putting a new wood frame around the kitchen window, which looks sensational. The list goes on and on. He made me a gorgeous new kitchen which is giving me tons of pleasure!

What can I say about this man? He is totally professional, extremely hard working, and very talented. with expertise in many areas. He is a perfectionist and everything single thing that he did was excellent. I am someone who does not particularly enjoy having people work in my home! However, John was a total pleasure to have around even for an extended project. I very much enjoyed our chats and laughter.

I have already scheduled John for the fall to tackle more items on my wish list. In my opinion, I have totally lucked in, in finding John!!

We chose Pretty Handy Guy based on the good reviews and we're glad we did. John is very professional and a pleasure to have around. We were very happy with his work (removal of wallpaper and painting the basement). He is already been scheduled to return for additional painting and some carpentry work!

We asked John to come in and knock a few things off of the 'honey-do' list in our bathrooms: ceiling repair, drywall replacement, hanging a heavy mirror etc. These jobs had been outstanding for a couple of years and in a matter of a day and half John made it all go away. I no longer mutter every time I walk into the downstairs bath - it's a pleasure to go in there now! Thanks, John!!

"Pretty Handy Guy"? He should change the name to "Extremely Handy Guy" !! And few other words as well...professional, perfectionist, great value, trust worthy and the list can continue.... We had John come in to install our new flooring to start and he did such a great job, we continued with an accent wall, install new doors, multiple painting projects and have already booked him to re-do our kitchen cupboards next week. John did a great job putting up the door. He was very detailed with his work. He took the time to make sure all the measurements were accurate and it fit exactly as designed.

Once again John's overall service delivery is a sheer delight. John has completed a number of projects in my home over the last couple of years and I have total confidence in his ability to do job well at all times.
