Many companies were recommended. Many companies came to us to review and quote. We found finishedbasement.ca on our own and they proved to be a much different experience for us. From the initial design and showroom experience, to the amazing project management, to the immaculate finished product ... they kept us consistently amazed. The teams - from rough carpentry to finished product - worked like a well oiled machine. They were done as promised, after two weeks! Even though we threw some curve balls at them. It has been over three years now and our basement is still looking and functioning as good as day 1.

My experience with the entire team at Finished Basement was excellent, from my first phone call to Natalie, to my in home consultation and estimate with Vitaliy, to my first visit from Igor with his suggestions on the layout, to Yuri the plumber, Vladmir's crew, Paul the electrician, Alex the taper and sander and finally Vitaliy's finishing crew. My job was done in 2 weeks as promised. Igor made sure that we were satisfied before final payment was made, thank to Vitaliy from the finishing crew who made sure that we got the doors and baseboards that we wanted. We had our basement done by Finishedbasements recently and the end result was amazing. They offer a unique, high quality package that we could not find anywhere else. When I decided to finish my basement I called several companies to get quotes, and while all of them were fairly similar, I decided to go with Finished Basements for the following reasons. Firstly, I was impressed with the overall organization of their business, especially with their thorough outline of the various options that were available to my liking. Secondly, I was impressed during my visit to their showroom and the design session with Igor, where I got a very good sense of what my own basement might look like. Many different possibilities were discussed, many of which I had never considered myself, with the intention of maximizing the space available, as well as making it aesthetically pleasing. Lastly, I was impressed with how the actual project was carried out, wherein it took 14 days to complete, as was promised. Seeing as I myself have a background in Engineering, I was pleased with the overall precision, organization, and strict attention to detail, and I would not hesitate to pick up the phone and call Igor if I ever buy a new home and need my basement to be finished again. To this day, all of my guests have a sense of astonishment every time they come visit, and can not help but say “Wow!” Thank you Finished Basements for all your hard work, you did an amazing job!

We hired Finished basement in April 2012 after meeting several other contractors. I was very apprehensive about hiring strangers to do this job. However, Finished Basement was able to completely renovate every square inch of our basement and it went from looking like a dump to a million dollar showroom. They send a full team of highly skilled, licensed tradesmen over the course of 2 weeks in order to ensure that each job is completed by a specialist. My wife and I are thrilled with the final result and everyone who sees it is truly impressed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and am thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of this job.

This company renovated our basement in 2 weeks for less than other estimates that needed 6 weeks. They are well organized and very professional. The work is of the highest standard and very effort was made to do the job with minimal inconvenience. When we found a couple of minor problems with the washroom, they were back the next day (Sunday) to fix them. It is really an exceptional team where everyone takes their job ‘to heart’. Bravo to Igor and family for putting together such a great company. No one could possibly do better.

We are very glad that we found this company. We invited our parents to visit us during this summer, and we needed our walk-out basement finished ASAP. We created our design we thought would be the best for our basement, however, the company owner having the great experience in basement renovation improved this plan (e.g. moving ventilation tubes, checking for cracks in the walls, finding more suitable place for laundry installation) and offered us a perfect design solution to fully utilize all available room. The company also undertook to complete basement renovation in incredible terms of 2 weeks. And they DID it!

All renovation works were done properly and in time. Whenever next step of renovation (e.g. wall framing, bathroom and laundry installation, electric works, wall sanding and painting, stair and railing renovation, flooring) was completed all garbage was removed and basement cleaned up. At each step professionals performing their part of work offered us improvements based on some specifics of our basement.

Just in 2 weeks we got fully renovated basement, nice and clean, very comfortable and convenient in use! We were very happy and enjoyed spending time with our parents during their stay at our house.

The company was very easy to deal with, professional and meticulous. They completed quality work and kept true to every agreement made. The tradesmen were polite and hardworking as well as good at their craft. The total experience was a pleasant one and Vitaly and Igor were consummate professionals.
