Krumpers Solar Blinds

I live in an older home with very little insulation and large windows and a patio door in the back of the house. These blinds are neutral colours, so pretty unobtrusive and I have found that they made a noticeable difference to the temperature in these rooms (especially in summer). They are a bit pricey, but the material looks like it will last a very long time and they do make a difference. Excellent customer service - you even get a seasonal email reminder to turn them (different sides face outwards in summer and winter). Recommended!

I have a badly-insulated solarium where heat goes way up in the summer: if I happen to close the door, the temperature quickly jumps to over 30 degrees Celsius. In winter, it is cold despite the heating.

I read an article on Krumpers Solar Blinds and was interested until I heard how much blinds for my solarium would cost. I naturally hesitated. Am I glad my hesitation did not prevent me from going ahead with the project!

First of all, Diana and Yuri offered me excellent advice and service, without ever pressuring me into buying their product. They came together for the initial measurements, then Yuri installed the blinds by himself, showing me how they work and how to turn them around. Almost a year later, I get reminder emails to know when it is time to change sides.

But excellent service with no pressure is not the only reason I am so happy. Their blinds helped bring down my hydro costs considerably last winter, and the temperature in my solarium is way more comfortable this summer. I am no longer afraid of leaving my cat in the solarium with the door closed (I used to be scared that she'd die because of excessive heat).

I was a well worthwhile investment that is going to pay off after a few winters.

We had to have custom-made screens for our very large front deck windows and two years later we are very impressed with this product and the service we received. We get full sun on these windows and the temperature drop in our front hall has been significant, keeping our place much cooler in summer and conversely, keep the heat in during the winter.

There is an added benefit as the screens work in the same way as blinds but are much easier for us to manage and while they let light in during the day they provide privacy. We do a lot of walking in our area and have noticed these large new homes with huge glass windows which remain uncovered for the first few months/year and then suddenly have curtains or solid screens - I suspect for reasons of heat,cold and privacy. I'm always so thankful that we found Krumpers.

Moving had pluses. One of them wasn’t unrelenting sun and heat in our living room and lack of privacy in our open concept kitchen- family room. We decided to have all west and east facing windows done. Within 2 hours the relief was palpable in the LR and we could immediately feel our sense of privacy in the kitchen- family room.

Then the winter came. We saved 15% on our heat bill. We haven’t had an opportunity to track our hydro savings from air conditioning.
Quality costs. We never regretted the expenditure.

We have large south facing windows and sitting near the windows in winter was chilly but no more.
In summer the rooms stay cool and comfortable. The blinds are very easy to flip.
Diana backs and supports the product to a highest level. We are 100% satisfied and have recommended the blinds to many friends.

Very pleased with this company and their service. Solar blind works as advertised in both winter and summer. Also, when there was some flaking of materials from the screen they replaced the product promptly and free of charge.

We live in Belleville and went to see the Krumper blinds and ordered them right away. We are absolutely delighted with them. We paid for the amazing view of Lake Ontario and these blinds allow us to easily see the amazing vista while keeping us warm and cozy. Our first heating bill was so low we could hardly believe it! They seamlessly disappear during the day and still allow us this amazing view. At night they have a lovely silvery look which fits perfectly. I wish everyone could experience these amazing blinds. We were delighted with our blinds and the customer service we received from Krumpers. Customer service was incredible and the product is great. The blinds made our sunroom comfortable on the hottest, sunny days and we were still able to enjoy our water views. We would recommend these blinds to anyone who wants to have a view but block the sun and heat.

I am pleased with the prompt service and the installation.
However, there is a gap of 1 5/8 inches between the shades through which a lot of heat escaped. The blinds do not diminish the sun light which makes sitting in the room and watching TV rather unpleasant particularly in the fall when the sun is lower in the sky. We hope that the effect of keeping the cold out will be noticeable.

My Dad has a rather large, West-facing window. It had always been too hot in Summer, and too chilly in Winter, but the light and the view were very important to him. After speaking to others, including friends and family members who have Krumpers blinds, we met with Diana. She recommended and quoted vertical blinds, and we agreed to go ahead. The installation was two weeks earlier than quoted! The whole process, from the no-pressure sales visit to the meticulous installation, was seamless and easy. The Summer months were much, much more comfortable, and the Fall so far is too - and the view remains! We could not be more delighted!
