I had my shingles replaced on my house yesterday. For a few years now, I was thinking about doing this but didn’t want to start the search for quotes, as it is such a daunting task. This summer, while walking in the community, I noticed 3 houses across the street were having their shingles replaced. What I noticed was how hard the men were working. They were busy non-stop and focused on the job. After the work was done on two houses, and while working on the third house, I stopped one of them to ask for a card. Knowing their workmanship and their work ethic convinced me that I didn’t need to look around. I called Simon and he came by on a Sunday to discuss what I needed to have done, the price and timeline for when the job would be completed. I felt that due to his experience, knowledge, expectations of his employees, plus having looked at the reviews on Home Stars, I was confident that I would be happy with the work.

Simon was responsive to all phone calls and made visits whenever required to discuss or have a look at anything about the roof, before and after the job was done. Having 15 years experience, I know that he was giving me honest information about shingles, workmanship and accountability. Due to impending rain, Simon sent more men in order to finish the job by 1:30 p.m. They worked tirelessly on the house and the garage. Shingles were placed neatly. After I came home, the ground was spotless in the front and back, even on the top floor balcony. You would never have known they were there. The eaves troughs were cleaned so thoroughly that you could see through the openings and water drained easily from them. Warranty on workmanship is guaranteed. Their professional work ethic and attitude towards roofing are commendable traits. I would recommend Guildwood Roofing without hesitation.

Simon and his team were extremely professional and efficient. The quote was fair and the time estimated to start was right on the date promised. They did a really great job and I would certainly use Guildwood roofing again in the future. In fact it will be the first company I think of for roofing.

Found Simons on home stars. We needed the pitched roof & dormer section replaced, of a home with flat roof in back. His quote was reasonable - he showed up promptly, was reachable at all times, and most importantly he works with his own crew & doesnt just subcontract out to a crew. the job was done on time, and right - the crew was careful during the work & cleaned up effectively. Simon showed up midway through and helped finish up and do quality control on the job. I would definitely recommend & use Simon again.

I got 3 quotes for our roof, and Simon was competitive, but more importantly, he told me that our roof should have a ridge vent installed (that I've never heard of before), which even the other 2 quotes, from very well known Toronto roofing companies, failed to mention. One company wanted to install multiple vents, which would have been unsightly and unnecessary. Simons crew did a great job, and I've referred others to him, most recently my father in law, to whom he offered a very competitive rate with better shingles than others.

Simon and his crew did a great job! We had our roof, garage and sunroom done in one day and looks spectacular - they arrived right on time and got the work done very quickly. He was very professional and would recommend him to anyone. The crew cleaned up very nicely as if they weren't even there!!

Simon and his crew did a very good job! We are very happy with his work. He suggests us very cost effective way of doing our new roof, he only recommends on the product we needed but not other extra cost products that we do not really needs compare to other quotations we received. Simon took the time to explain different material options and worked with us to meet our budget. He was able to beat competitors prices in our area. He was very punctual, honest and finished the job as per the date promised. Clean up was excellent. Great guy to deal with and would recommend to anybody.
