My husband and I wanted a deck for our backyard and called a few carpenters. Paul(PTR Carpentry) gave us a quote and after seeing his portfolio and calling several of his past clients we felt absolutely confident in him. He came to our house and did our deck in 3 days. He was so professional and very accomodating to changes we made etc. We will without a doubt refer anyone who needs a carpenter to Paul. Superb workmanship, totally flawless. Paul was a true professional and gentleman. He framed our sunroom for us in less than three days. He offered suggestions and tips for maximizing cost savings as well as structurally exceeding building code. I have every confidence in Paul's workmanship and will definitely call on him again for future projects.

I hired Paul to do a large renovation project, including framing a new addition, two gutted floors and a basement. He was friendly and professional during the whole process.

He and his student work very efficiently, it is a pleasure to watch how skillful they are at their trade. At the end of the project, I asked him to do a few extra things and he charged me almost nothing for it.

He was very open to suggestions when I wanted to do things differently -- we ended up working out the details of a staircase together so that there is sufficient headroom in a very tight space.

Paul does all his work himself (with his student assisting), which makes communication very easy -- no extra layers of bosses. I would recommend him to anyone with a framing job.

Paul is probably the best carpenter there is. He did an amazing job opening up and re-framing a supporting wall. His work ethic is 2nd to none and he is extremely helpful and pricing is also excellent.

I was referred to Paul by a friend. Paul came in and provided an estimate and work commenced a few weeks later. He was very accomodating and assisted with solutions for difficult areas. He is very skilled in what he does and truly takes pride in the final product. He put together an arch walkway in my basement which has become quite the feature in my basement.

First of all Paul's workmanship was very good, even other contractors had noticed. Pricing was fair, showed up on time, and project completed quicker then I thought and quality of work was great. Paul was very accommodating with all my design changes and wavering. He was able came up with some clever ideas and solutions too issue I had as well.

Paul is a professional. He cares about his customers as he was always prompt in returning phone calls, he arrived on time and was always friendly and courteous. He made sure I was happy with the job and that he would rectify anything immediately. However, everything was perfect. My neighbours are also impressed!

We hired Paul for our recent renovation/remodeling project. This project was one of our most complex jobs requiring raising portion of existing ceiling with a slope to accommodate required headroom above new staircase. We couldn’t just trust anybody to take over the job. At first meeting, Paul appeared to be competent and provided a reasonable quotation.
He showed up on site prepared and on schedule and was able to build everything in shortest possible time according to plan and drawings. Very knowledgeable, cooperative and skilful. We will definitely hire him for all our future framing/carpentry jobs. Keep up good work Paul!
