Ikea kitchen installation

They took my 5.000$ Ikea kitchen and made it look like a 25.000$ custom built kitchen.
After a bad experience with a local "contractor" to install the cabinets (he did a terrible job trying) I finally hired Modus to do it right. Best decision I have ever made! Not only was the team of installers very pleasant and friendly, they went out of their way to make my kitchen look the best it can. They are extremely knowledgeable and were able to give me excellent input and suggestions on how to make it look perfect. They were patient enough to let me run to Ikea and get a couple of different cabinets to make the layout work better for me after they made a couple of really good suggestions. The installation went over without any problems, they finished everything off flawlessly. Always on time, pricing is very reasonable and fair, they really know their stuff. From the office manager that answers the phone, the man in charge of giving the estimates and overseeing the crews to the installers, everybody there is always geared towards providing the best in customer service. And that is something I haven't experienced before to this extend in Alberta. Refreshing to know that there is a company with people that care so much out there. I would recommend them to anybody!

Dear Tina.

We always hear about the contractors who have done poor workmanship, and unfortunately we have gone into homes on quite a few occasions to "fix" the issue. Many times these contractors will advertise amazing deals and super low prices, but at the end they end up costing more- in money and time. We are transparent with our prices and abilities throughout the entire process and will continue to be and work with people like yourself to make your kitchen fantastic for the fair, professional price.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity and we hope to work with you again.

All the best to you,
Modus team

Custom Kitchen Cabinetry

Excellent service, quick to follow-up on issues; kudos to project manager, Milan, whose creativity and problem-solving abilities lead to the successful completion of the project. Estimator also was creative in maximizing use of confined spaces for additional storage.

Installing 2 IKEA kitchens in our new house.

We hired Modus to install 2 IKEA kitchens in our new custom home - the main kitchen and a second kitchen in the basement suite. All of our dealings with Modus were pleasant and professional, and we were very impressed with them at every stage. The actual day of the installation, I believe that they had 8 workmen on our site - it was amazing, like watching time-lapse photography as they put everything together. We are saving up to do more cabinetry in our laundry room, and we will be hiring Modus again for this new project. Highly recommended!!

Hello Sascha, we are very glad to hear about your awesome experience with Modus! Our top goal is to complete the kitchen installation within a short amount of time which requires numerous installers with various experience and knowledge - 8 installers to complete two kitchens in one day for your home provided that there were no deficiencies. This allows the client to easily schedule other areas of jobs needed. We look forward to hear back from you!!

Kitchen Reno

I considered installing Ikea cabinetry myself but a friend recommended Modus. They installed my kitchen including Double wall ovens. Induction cooktop, fridge, wine cooler and Fan food/Microwave as well in one day. The Modus crew did a super job and left the without a trace that any construction had taken place. I would definitely recommend Modus.

Basement renovation - TV room, mud room & bathroom

This is the second time we have used Modus for a renovation/installation, and we couldn't be happier. Some structural changes were required in the existing room to accommodate our wishes, and the crew at Modus were knowledgeable and did a fantastic job of the "build". Their expertise with Ikea products made our cabinet and desk installation look truly custom, and all the work was completed on time and on budget. We love our new space! Fifteen out of ten for Modus!!

Kitchen Facelift

After purchasing a kitchen from Ikea, we hired Modus to do the installation as we didn't want to be out of our kitchen for too long. Last Friday, Modus installers (Sinisa and crew) arrived - worked - and left us with a new kitchen we are very happy with. They were great at discussing our options along the way and helping create custom features like toe kicks, and filler peices.

Overall they were professional and friendly, but best of all, they really knew what they were doing.

Kitchen Installation

DOME PROJECT MANAGMENT / MODUS ENTERPRISES of Vancouver installed a pantry cabinet adjacent to a wall without a filler or spacer. The door to the pantry cabinet opens up into the wall. It has been three weeks and I have had only one phone call and Dome Project Managment / Modus Enterprises has not committed to a time to repair their installation. I requested in email and verbally that they install a plywood subfloor under the counters to match the height of the floors and so that the appliances would fit. Modus' idea of a subfloor is small pieces of particle board place precariously under the cabinet legs. As we all know, particle board meets no building code standard and literally disintegrate if water ever hit them. Ikea makes wonderful cabinets, just DO NOT ask DOME PROJECT MANAGMENT MODUS ENTERPRISES to install them.

Modus Enterprises became the Lower Mainland's Certified Installer of IKEA Kitchen Cabinets in 1998. Since then we have installed 7000+ kitchens all according to IKEA's installation practices as well as BCBC and COV codes. Although IKEA is designed to work on a self-planning basis, we always offer solutions for clients with issues in their designs. In the case of this customer the cabinets were planned without enough space for filler next to the pantry: On the morning of the installation we offered a solution that involved modifying the adjacent cabinet to provide the filler space for a small customization charge, and the client declined so we installed according to her plan as it was originally designed. Regarding the request to install a subfloor, this is not a service we normally provide and we used blocks under the cabinet legs to raise the cabinets (necessary for installing a new floor after the cabinet install) - per IKEA's installation practices - at no additional charge.

Update on this situation since Jill's feedback: We have exchanged emails and phone calls regarding this situation, and returned to the site for an inspection of our installation and of the alterations made to it by the local handyman Jill had hired before informing or consulting with us on these issues. In good faith and with high priority placed on maintaining our good relationship with IKEA, we have accommodated Jill with both material for the pantry filler, as well as the labour required to re-level the cabinets her handyman had un- and re-installed, thereby completing the job to Jill's requirements. Following these resolutions and given that we have not heard back from messages left for her, we can only hope that any further comments from Jill would reflect this more positive outcome.

Of course we understand and regret that not every customer can be kept happy through each step in the renovation process. Our goal is always to satisfy our customers and provide quality work within the scope of the services we offer, and we stand behind that with all of our company policies and warranties. We are continually working to reinforce our great working relationship with IKEA as one of their longest-standing independent service providers and value each customer who chooses to have their IKEA kitchen installed by certified professionals.

Two Kitchen Renovations - Up & Down

In both kitchens the cabinets and countertops came from iKea. Modus was fantastic from start to finish. And, the crew even cleaned up after themselves! So, you only have to take the cardboard out when it is garbage day.

Once, the cabinets were installed all I had to do was call Modus and they then contacted the contractor who installs the countertop. I also had them make arrangements for my sink, faucet and dishwasher to be installed. All in all it took less than a week for everything.

Modus's team is professional and eceptional. I would highly recommend them.
