Alex and his guys were a pleasure to work with. They went in on the day they promised, remained on site till the job was done and thoroughly vacuumed the place when the work was complete. Their workmanship was immaculate and they cared to ask the relevant questions rather than making assumptions.

Alex and his team did a great job of upgrading my panel. They showed up exactly at the agreed time and the work was done vey quickly. They even cleaned up after themselves which is rare whith some trades people.. I would highly recommend Alex for any type of electrical work.

Unbelievable customer service (even arrived 5mins ahead of schedule). Provided suggestions on "best practice" on fixture location. Worked quickly and cleaned up as if no work had been done. Maple Leaf Electric did a great job. Alex was courteous and professional. He and his crew were on time at 8am on a weekend (in fact they were early). Alex gave good guidance on the lights selection.
To me, a 10 out of 10 job is not just about the installation of the lights. It’s about their attitude (friendly) and the details of how they do their work- like how they took off their shoes before entering (which I appreciate since I got new tiles and hardwood done); how they used drop sheets to line the floor before laying down their equipment, and how they cleaned up the debris.
They finished faster than I expected and I was blown away by the quality of their work. Both my fiancé and I love their work and will recommend them to any of our friends and family.

I called Mapleleaf Electric based on the HomeStars reviews and was throughly satisfied with their work. We needed new, dedicated lines and a complete safety check, followed by rewiring of about half the outlets in the house, and new lighting installed. Alex & his crew came through on time, he was very thorough and did extras quite cheerfully. A pleasure to work with!

Bought an older house that had quite a bit of knob and tube in it. It needed to be removed. Got a few quotes including the one from Mapleleaf. Some quotes were less and some quotes were more. I liked how Alex from Mapleleaf was clear with what had to be done to remove the knob and tube - and that not as much work was needed as some of the other contractors had suggested. I also wanted new pot lights in the kitchen, an outlet/light run to the shed in the backyard, and network cabling to all the rooms which he said was no problem. Arranging for the work to start was easy and he and his two man crew showed up on time and work proceeded without any problems. I was very impressed with the work and diligence done during the job. They even patched the holes that were made during the process of the knob and tube removal. Thanks to Alex and his crew!

Alex is a loyal and professional electrician. I'm currently looking after my brother's property and the new tenants needed the light swtich to be fixed. After calling Alex in the evening, he was in the next day with quick and prompt service. Because he had done extensive work for my brother before, he refused to accept payment or even a tip for his visit. now that's customer service!

Alex and crew managed to install 18 recessed lights throughout a living room / dining room area in a single day. They came at 8 am and stayed until 6:30 pm (on a Friday!) to get the job done. Alex even came back the next day (a Saturday) to deliver and install some extra halogen bulbs of the right wattage and spread).

Despite the house being built in 1904 and the work requiring wires to be pulled in the ceiling through thick old beams, the entire installation only required a single access hole to be drilled in the ceiling (which was expertly repaired). The team used a camera and fibre optics system to view obstructions hidden in the ceiling -- vents, brick chimney, beams, etc.

The lights illuminate art work and much care was taken in the placement of the lights to achieve the desired effect. I'm extremely pleased with the results.

After reading the great reviews about Mapleleaf Electric on Homestars, we contacted Alex to see if he would be available to install potlights in our living room and family room. He immediately called us back, quoted us a fair price and we set up a time for him and his team to install our lights. We had to re-schedule our appointment due to a delay caused by our floor refinishers, and Alex was very accommodating. Alex, Adolfo and Ralph arrived at our home on time, were polite and courteous, started working immediately and very quickly completed the job. The potlights look fabulous. Initially, Alex thought that they might have to open up a hole in our drywall, but he figured out a way to install the potlights without having to do so. When they were here, I sprung a few last minute jobs on them (install a potlight in the powder room, install dimmer switches, even change exterior pot light bulbs). Our powder room required a special type of potlight which they did not have (since I didn't give them any notice) so they helped me to find an electrical supplier in the area so that I could pick up the potlight for them to install. They did not hassle me at all about the extra work, they happily agreed to do it. They charged us a very fair price for everything and they left absolutely no mess behind. They completed all of this work in less than 5 hours. We had another electrician tell us that it would take him 5 DAYS to do the work and he would have to do some major damage to our ceiling in order to do it. Alex and his guys found this to be pretty funny :)

It was a pleasure working with Alex, Adolfo and Ralph and we will definitely contact them again when we are ready to install more potlights in our home.

Over the last month, we have had a number of different contractors work on our new home. We have had many frustrating experiences dealing with unprofessional people who do not live up to their commitments and whose work product has been disappointing. We cannot stress how refreshing it was to work with Mapleleaf Electric. They exceeded our expectations and we would certainly recommend them to anyone who is interested in having potlights installed.
