We got a few quotes, and while Alex's wasn't the cheapest, it was competitive. The positive reviews on Homestars were, frankly, the determining factor. We weren't disappointed. He came, himself, to do the work (a refreshing change from some of the other firms we've engaged who dispatched teams of labourers unfamiliar with the agreed upon terms, and sometimes incapable of understanding, let alone addressing, our concerns when they've arisen) with a bright and evidently competent assistant. The work was done quickly, with a minimum of mess. I was less than delighted by the need to drill a new hole through the exterior of the house, to accommodate the main power line, but the ESA guy confirmed that it was called for by the Code (an infuriatingly inflexible document). I'd use him again.

We called Mapleleaf Electric to replace our panel from fuse to breaker. we had many small panels that were very disorganized, confusing and nothing was labeled. They did an AMAZING job removing everything and replaced it with a new breaker panel. Everything looks very neat and labeled. The inspector came and was impressed with the work that was done. Anyone who needs any electrical work, should definately call mapleleaf electric. They are the friendliest and most reliable company that we've ever worked with.

Alex came promptly at a time that was outside of normal business hours-- but convenient for me. Rather than simply fixing the problems I was experiencing (which he did), he also looked at several other areas in the house and gave me good advice on which outlets were safe and which ones might be a problem in the future. I got it all: great service, advice and solutions for a completely reasonable price. I recommend him highly.

Alex and his team brought the panel up to code and replaced all of the wires in the apartment, as well as adding new pot lights and kitchen wiring. They did a quick and fantastic job! The ESA inspector said it was good too!

Last year my wife and I purchased our new new home in Richmomd Hill and the builder charges $250-$300 per potlight. We thought that was expensive, especially if you want them throught out the house! So we decided to ask around different elecrtical companies. I didn't realize how many different types of potlights there were, but Alex from Mapleleaf Electric took his time to explain in detail about the different types of potlights. Other companies just told me 1 price and were not intested in explaining about potlights. I hired Alex on the spot and booked for him to come the following week. He and his workers all showed up on time and installed 60 potlights in 2 days! They were very clean, and there was no damage on our ceilings, and very courtious to our new home. They even ran an extra wire to the soffit (free)so in the future we can install outdoor potlights, and YES we will definately get Alex & all to install them! We loved our home before, now we love it even more!!

I used Maple Leaf Electric for major rewiring and a new panel. They were quick, reasonable, and very professional. The work passed inspection without issue. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
