Re-paving driveway

They were right on time and were very professional. All of the workers worked the whole time and got it done on the exact specified time.
I would recommend them for their hard work and dedication.

New Driveway

Townhome neighbour and I had our driveways repaved by these clowns. My side of the driveway didn't have enough "slope" so they decided to build the driveway up by building a hump of ashphalt at the garage door. So, picture the trough that they created for a good 2-inch puddle of water to collect to either run into my garage OR once cold enough, to freeze a large chunk of ice to keep my garage door locked in ice for a 5 month period...the ONLY reason I'm giving these guys a 1 is because they agreed finally to repave my garage floor in order to raise it up to give the whole thing enough "slope". How this wasn't identified at the get-go, I'll never know. Because the garage floor was done post-driveway, I was assured that they would fix the ashphalt to not look like a patch job (since it was only 2 weeks old). It was a disaster - crumbling and looking all very much like a 2-bit patch job. Chris, of course, was there with his hand out for his $$. Stay away from this outfit.

Concrete porch reconfigure

Follow up to my previous review. I have contacted Chris, the owner of Burloak, several times, and he visited apparently once, when i wasnt home (despite me asking him to make an arrangement to meet) and after phone tag, left me a message that all he is able to do is put a coat of paint on it!! There are spider web marks, and hollow points in several areas, and pooling at the doorstep. POOR customer service, but his reception at the office was prompt and courteous.. I do NOT recommend this company, and will pursue a small claim now, at wits end, as this will need repair in less than 2 years. Also, there was not a drip edge made part of the job, which apparently is very important . Do your research. I didnt do enough. It looks 'pretty' when dry, but hollow and spider marks all over when wet, and all winter.

Asphalt Driveway

I contacted Burloak Paving after getting a number of quotes from other companies. After speaking with their estimator, I was sold.
First off they paved the driveway at dusk so I was worried right off the bat. Within 2 days of the driveway being paved holes started forming. Called Burloak Paving and they came to patch the hole, but that made it look worse. Additionally the driveway began to crumble in sections, like there was too much stone and not enough asphalt. Spoke with Chris, the owner and he said that he would come to take a look at it in the spring as there was nothing he at that point in time.
Spring came and the driveway is now riddle with holes, cracks and a stick embedded in the asphalt (I can only assume that it was part of the original asphalt mix). Just got off the phone again with Chris who, in a harsh tone, proceeded to tell me that he will call me in the future to schedule another patch job. He would only tell me that he would come when he has a job in my neighborhood.
I spoke several times with a very pleasant individual at their offices, but when dealing with Chris, it is just a horrible experience. Stay away from Burloak Paving if you want a quality job.

New porch extension, new steps, walkway

After the concrete was poured and came out 2 of 3 sides, then collapsed, I was shocked to watch them try to save the job. It got worse before it got better. They put the steps in without any solid footings, promised to seal the concrete, then left the unfinished job, saying it doesn't need to be sealed, and there are hollow parts starting to crack less than a week later. I've called the company, and will update here, what if anything, they do to make the job right.
Meanwhile, my front lawn and side of my driveway are a mess that only a landscaper can resolve. Hence more $, as they have on the estimate that this is my responsibility. Oh , and they cut phone and cable lines!

Paving parking lot

They paved our back parking lot and less than a year later many cracks appeared in two areas. They patched them, and it cracked again. Almost 4 years after the original job, it is badly cracked in and around the patches. In other words neither the original job or the patches were properly done. I believe paving should last at least 10-15 years. They say their warranty only applies for one year. In other words, they believe a paving job should last at least one year.

New Driveway

Driveway is really soft. Contractor has come back to hammer out some spots left by wheels turning, and is coming back to fix recent cracking but I'm afraid the driveway will continue to be too fragile.

New Driveway

Driveway is WAY TOO soft... workers left foot imprints when they were done the job. Tire treads left imprints several weeks later. 10 months later you'd expect the asphalt to have hardened somewhat, but a couple of people used our driveway to make 3-point turns and ripped up our driveway like it was brand new. Then the guy comes out to take a look at it, repairs it with a hammer and gives my wife attitude.

driveway and landscaping

We had them do our driveway last year and this year it has holes in it and it is pitting all over the place. I did not know this could happen with a new driveway. They came to fix ONE hole when we were not at home. We spent a lot of money with them to do the backyard and frontyard, and we are not at all happy with the job, we have several complaints, I would never recommend them to my worst enemy.
