Met with Jason who was great. He was excellent at explaining the ins and outs of the job and what would be the best thing to do for me to keep my costs low and not how he can make an extra buck. The job was unrushed and done with care. They come as advertised honest, friendly, with no upselling. Wish all contractors were like Jason.

I first contacted Jason Affordable Insulation after a home energy audit @ my townhouse, they were not the lowest quote, but the detailed briefing Sid provided during the quotation convinced me that they would do the best job, with a superior insulation product. They did a great job & provided great value for the cost.

Prior to Jason Affordable Insulation fixing the insulation in our loft there was a draft in the house that I could not stop despite draft proofing all doors & windows. This draft just disappeared after they finished the insulation & the house was more comfortable, warmer in the winter & cooler in the summer, with significantly lower utility bills. We sold the house a couple of years later & the home inspector commented how great the attic insulation was, it was insulated to a higher insulation level than we had paid for and the work was extremely well done .

Jason Affordable Insulation have inspected & insulated our current new property after it was clear that the default insulation done by the builder was inadequate after a couple of years. Needles to say the house is now super insulated with lower utility bill & greater comfort. Jason Affordable Insulation is a great company that I would recommend to anyone.

We were expecting an addition to the family so we wanted to make sure that the nursery will be nice and warm above our garage - the one bedroom that was always a few degrees colder in the winter.

We had quotes from two other companies prior to meeting with Jason. Both of the contenders gave us a quote using only the spray foam product where we would need to replace the drywall either ourselves or they would do it for an additional $800! Ridiculous!

Jason gave us the option of the spray foam or packed fiberglass and explained the advantages and disadvantages of both.
We chose the packed fiberglass for two reasons - more cost efficient and We wouldn't need to have the drywall replaced.

Now that winter has set in(review written end of December), we have already noticed a significant difference in the temperature of the bedroom above the garage.

Great job guys, and I will not hesitate in recommending you in the future.

From the initial meeting for an estimate to the job being performed and finished, this family run business with Jason and Sid were fabulous. Even when they had to announce a delay due to equipment issues, they handled this challenge with flying colors. Jason called to reschedule and offered a price cut for the inconvenience. WOW ! For me, when a small company steps up in a time of crisis like this and impresses me, that really speaks for how much they love what they do and respect their customers. It had been cold in my house for a few years and I knew there was a problem. Jason and Sid gave me a clear understanding of what had to be done and a great quote. I couldnt be happier with my now warm house!

We had our insulation done early Oct but wanted to wait and see how it worked before writing a review. We had a bedroom above the garage and bathroom that were freezing cold in the winter. They were the only company that came to give a quote that noticed that the room had practically no insulation above it. They generously filled it up. I am so happy to say the room is great. We still run a heater but only because our 3 year old doesn't sleep with her blanket on. The room is still a bit "cool" but very tolerable and the bathroom is perfect now. Other company wanted to gut our garage and re-insulate it. This would have been a lot more work and money. Jason recommended against it when he came. He said he would be able to do it too but it wouldn't make much of a difference since the space between garage and ceiling floor would be too small to add a enough insulation to make a difference. Talk about honest!! It will take time to book these gentlemen and it will take several hours to do the job but I can honestly say for me....it was totally worth it. I can't thank you guys enough for the wonderful job you have done!

I am very impressed by Affordable Insulation as Jason and Sid both have gone well above my expectations. During the initial meeting, Jason was professional and took his time in explaining the type of insulation being used, advantages/disadvantages and the installation process. In his quotation he advised me that for a 3100 Sq ft. home it will be an all day installation and that my current R19 rating will be brought up to R52. On installation day Sid showed up a bit late, but quickly make up for it by not charging extra for the many issues found in my attic. Issues such as all three bathroom fans needed to have insulated ducting reconnected, blue vapour protection installed over the fan housing, reinstalled the attic window covering and repaired existing baffles. Great care was given to make sure no mess was made and sheets/mats were laid out. Further, Sid realized the smell of varnish in my home due to the newly installed hardwood flooring and offered to lend an air scrubber for a week! Wow! Who does that in this day and age! Absolutely amazing! Ever since the installation I have noticed the house retaining heat as the outside temperature at night falls in the low teens. Highly Recommended!

Jason gave me a very detail quotation. Explaining the entire process in details. Also helping me to idenfity a lot of insulation problem in my house.
The team spent the whole day in my house to fix different problem at the attic. covering pot light with cool blue vapour, fixing existing baffles, adding more baffles, reconnecting lose pipe, fixing bathroom fan connection, even replaced one of the fans for me.
Passed a few hot days since the installation, I definitly feel the difference upstairs. even the main floor has minor difference.
During the installation, they made minimal noise in the house. And they left no mess in the house.
