Hatton's Hardwood Floors Inc

I decided on Hatton's for my living room and kitchen hardwood based on a recommendation from a friend and expectations were met and exceeded on all fronts. I was very impressed that Cal was able to estimate in advance exactly how long the job would take with the project being completed on time and on budget. Dustin did a great job with the floor and made the best out of sometimes tricky condo rules/regulations. I have a busy job and appreciated coming home each night and seeing noticeable progress. Hattons also went above and beyond in putting in additional base boards to improve the aesthetic appeal (no additional charge). I would certainly recommend Hattons to friends and family and will be working with them again shortly on my kitchen backsplash.

My floors are beautiful. Great attention to detail, workmanship, and any concerns and challenges that came up throughout the job were dealt with professnally and promptly. I would use Cal and his team again.

Incredibly fast and the workmanship was perfection. The workers were well mannered, polite and funny. When they left, there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere and I had truly beautiful floors. Will definitely be calling them, ANYTIME I need work done. If you need floors -- only call them, you will not be disappointed!

I wanted to install a custom chevron pattern floor by my front door in the same hardwood as the rest of the house. Most places I called either didn't return my voicemails or didn't have the expertise to do it. Even though it was a smaller job, Cal made it work within my budget and agreed to help me out. Dustin installed it in roughly two days, I wish I could post a picture because it turned out really well, better than we had hoped.

In my opinion, it's not overly difficult to slap wood together, but custom designs is no joke, and these guys delivered like pros. Don't bother looking anywhere else.

Cal helped us out in a ridiculous situation - went above and beyond what I would consider great service...

We had a 1-day window between getting possession of our house and figuring out how much cork flooring we'd need before the cork supplier closed for the holidays. Our lawyer's secretary screwed up the paperwork so we couldn't take possession in time. Cal actually arranged with the seller's real estate agent to meet at the house and do the measurements at 7pm so that we could place our order the next morning. Seriously? People still do stuff like that?

I don't know how Hatton's measures up to other companies price-wise because with service like that I didn't really care what I was paying.

Dustin installed the flooring for us and did a bang-up job. Not one even tiny mistake. Super nice guy, easy to get along with, and he also did more, in terms of moving furniture and uninstalling doors/closets, than I would've expected. It was like having a buddy over to do the job... except he didn't drink all my beer.

Anyway, no need to get overly effusive here, but clearly we're extremely happy with how the entire process unfolded, and the job is just perfect. Recommend Hatton's to a friend? You bet. Family? Well, only the family I like (:

I was very happy with the quality of the work, however we did require one area to be redone as it wasn't properly sanded down- hence the 4 star rating. Given that this surface is our main living surface it was frustrating to have to move all our belongings twice. I appreciated that Cal worked with us to get a great end result.

We contacted Hatton’s Flooring to refinish the hardwood floors in the living room, hallway and three bedrooms. After meeting Cal on site he was not only personable but was very knowledgeable. As the floors were in very bad condition, we were concerned that they may not be able to refinish some of the areas. Cal and Joel explained other options if the existing issues could not be refinished and the price variance. This project was completed on time and on budget. Both Cal and Joel were wonderful to deal with and the floors look absolutely amazing!

Cal was really helpful. He gave us good information and advise on the refinishing of our birch floors. There was some patching to be done because of water damage, and it was done very neatly and blended in well. We are very satisfied with the work. The floors look fantastic! Thank you.

Cal was great from the moment I called to inquire about his services. I booked an estimate and I appreciate that he had the courtesy of phoning me to let me know he was running a few minutes late for the estimate. I needed to repair, sand and feather old hardwood in the kitchen with new hardwood in the living room while I was gutting and renovating the kitchen. Cal was very professional and took great care to assess and explain the process. I appreciate that he cautioned me about the potential imperfections that can arise from patching the holes caused by ripping out a wall and joining 2 pieces of hardwood (versus some company who might try to convince you that would handle everything and it would be perfect). I was very pleased with the end result; the gaps from the old hardwood planks were fixed and the repairs, patching, staining and transition to the new hardwood is almost seamless! Cal was always quick to respond to e-mails through the whole process and was great at accommodating my constantly moving timelines caused by other tradespeople in my kitchen renovation nightmare.
I have never written a recommendation for a company but Cal deserves it. I also rarely think a company stands out enough to be worth recommending to others and I would not hesitate to recommend his services to my friends or employ him myself again. Thanks Cal!
