Detailed Drywall was hired to mud,tape and sand our basement walls. They sub-contracted out the job, and when we had problems with the sub-contractor we contacted the owner/manager Lorne Boychuk to resolve the issue. To sum things up, his behaviour was not at all professional. We filed a complaint with the Southern Alberta BBB, and the BBB has left an 'administratively closed' complaint on Detailed Drywall's file, stating: Unsatisfactory customer service, including manager/owner's failure to provide assistance in a timely manner, failure to respond to customer's dissatisfaction, unavailability for customer support,and inappropriate behaviour and attitude exhibited by owner/manager.

We recently signed up with Homestars and I noticed this complaint from Dwayne and Roxanna. We fell one day behind on your project and I know you were on a tight schedule, you chose to sand the drywall touch-ups yourself so you that you could paint the project and you were compensated $100.00 for your time. You filed a complaint with the BBB (which we have an A+ accredited business rating) and they closed the file January 23, 2009 stating "even though the customer was not satisfied, Detailed Drywall has made an effort in an attempt to resolve the issue; therefore we are closing the case at this time." I am not sure where you got the information on what is stated on Detailed Drywall's file when it was closed by the BBB however you are absolutely wrong. I am sorry that we were not able to come to a resolution at the end of your project. I have reviewed your concerns and comments and consider this job file closed.
