We recently purchased our dream home in Breslau and decided to start looking in to having our basement finished. We noticed Devrye Renovation signs in our neighbourhood and decided to have them give us a quote. Rick came out and took measurements and returned a few weeks later with completed drawings and an extremely detailed quote outlining all steps and expenses to show exactly what we were paying for from start to finish. We knew right away there would not be any surprises when we hired Rick and his team. His crew showed up on time each and every day and they continued to keep us informed each step of the way. The project was completed on time, exactly as outlined in the quote and looks fantastic. Devrye Renovations comes highly recommended by our family.

Basement Home theater, additional bedroom, and bathroom were constructed to an impeccable level of detail by a superb crew of craftsmen supporting our project. The DeVrye team were courteous, on time, held our families best interest in mind as we worked through this project. They stuck to the plan, and only offered suggestions as asked by us. As with any major project it is wise to understand there will be some changes/additions you decide on, so please consider having some buffer in your budget.

From our initial meeting with Rick, we knew he was the right contractor to finish our basement. He came highly recommended from our friends and we loved the job he did on their basements. He came to our house for an initial meeting and listened to our needs. Rick was very professional. He prepared a quote with a few options which really captured the vision of what we were looking for. It was important to us to have someone work in our home that we could trust. Rick’s team treated our house as if it was their own. The crew arrived every morning prior to us leaving for work so we could quickly brief on the days upcoming work and make decisions if needed. They had cleaned up and were out of our house before we got home which allowed us to have our privacy. The entire experience was not intrusive at all, which was important to us since we have young children. The workmanship was impeccable! I was very impressed with the attention to detail that was given to the entire project. The work started on time and was completed on time and on budget as quoted. We got exactly what we agreed to for the price agreed to pay. There were no surprises. We would give Rick and his team an 11 out of 10 if the rating allowed us to go that high. We would use Devrye Renovations for our next project and we would highly recommend them to handle any renovation in your home. The work DeVrye did for us was exceptional. From the first time Rick came to visit us and later when he provided a thoroughly detailed estimate for our project we knew this was a professional and efficiently run business. His team demonstrated the same every day they were here working on our basement. They regularly updated us on progress, next steps and left the work space clean and tidy at the end of each day.
The quality of their work was apparent to us from the day they started framing to the day they finished…everything was done to exacting standards. It’s clear they care about the work they do, and they ensure any subs (plumbers, electricians, etc.) that come in share the same commitment to quality.

We have used DeVrye Custom Renovations for two separate, large renovations which included complex, structural, changes to our home. Rick and his staff have been consistently thorough, professional and willing to go the extra mile on every step of both projects. They were on time, on budget and handled our requested “add ons” very well. The job site was always contained and cleaned at the end of every day. We were also informed about the next steps every day so that we would not be subject to unwelcome “surprises.” Rick was great at helping us avoid unnecessary expenses but did not cut corners. Workmanship was second to none and they were very flexible in adapting to our wishes and needs. We had no issues with building and insurance inspections along the way. We will call them in a heartbeat the next time we have a project in mind.
