White Shark Window Cleaning

I scheduled an eavestrough cleaning for mid-November 2011 with White Shark. I liked the fact that the work could be scheduled via the Internet. They sent two men on Nov. 16 to clean my eavestroughs. The one man I spoke to was very professional and polite.

In terms of equipment, they came with a tall ladder, a couple of buckets and gloves. They were really quick - about 30 minutes - and when I asked if they cleaned the eavestroughs in the back, they said they climbed over the roof to get to them.

I have no idea how well they cleaned everything as I couldn't get up on the roof to check. I did have a look at the eavestrough on my balcony, and could see that there were some remnants of leaves and twigs left behind. They did not snake the downspouts (note: I don't think snaking is part of the standard White Shark cleaning service). When they were done, they left a paper yard waste bag filled about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way with wet leaves & debris, so I know they cleaned something!

One of the men gave me the invoice at the end of the job and told me I could pay by phone or online. I chose to pay online, and the cost was as listed on the invoice (i.e., no surcharge for credit card payment).

I think overall White Shark did an OK job, but I probably wouldn't use them if I had a lot of debris or a clog to be cleared.

Both jobs cost me the same - The same guy (Paul) first did the exterior job, and returned for the interior. He had different help each time, but all of them were friendly, hard-working, and attention to detail all made me a return customer. Roger is also easy to deal with and came by to inspect the work after to make sure I was happy. I also appreciate how quickly he was able to get someone to my house, since I needed a painter on very short notice.
Only criticsim is I found some paint splatters on the rug in one of the bedrooms that they did, but it's very minor and otherwise the work was well done considering the difficulty. Mine is an older house with many cracks, bulging walls and crooked lines, but they made it look almost like new.

They were supposed to clean eavestroughs. I have an antenna on which I had attached an anti-animal contraption to prevent racoons and squirrels from climbing to my roof and doing damage. White Shark staff pulled it off and left it on the ground. They must have used my antenna to climb up rather than a ladder. They did not repair the damage they caused.

I asked for eves cleaning estimate and an estimate on a small piece of hanging eves to be nailed back . While at work, they sent over some contractor who renailed the piece and then proceeded to clean eves without permission. They left nails and debris all over the driveway. Then I was harrasses mercilessly for payment for a job that I never asked for. An estimate at a prearranged day and time. period was the only thing I requested. This is why the company is called " White Shark."
They are wily, ruthless and totally cut throat with no clue as to what constitiutes good customer service.

I scheduled White Shark months in advance to come clean our eaves in late November. The time came and went and they simply never showed up. The day after it snowed and froze (~ December 8?) they called and said they couldn't do it due to weather, and they'd come in the spring. They offered no apology, no discount, just acted like that was normal business. Our gutters spent the winter full of leaves and twigs, not draining properly. Found a new eaves cleaner this year who was terrific! (Brian at Enlighten Contracting)

white shark worked with us on a very professional level to resolve a problem we had experienced in a timely manner. The cleaning job was well done - both inside and outside. We will definitely rebook them in the spring!

Asked them to clean my windows, and felt they were very unprofessional. I actually went to their "office" and found out that it was just a big garage with no heating. I feel sorry for the kids who are working there on the phones. They looked freezing.

I have been using White Shark for years to clean my eaves and windows. Always on time, and they always do a great job. And they'll even come pick up the lawn sign when you feel you have given them enough advertising. I will continue to use White Shark for all my window and eaves cleaning needs.

The main reason I do not like White Shark is that they do not do a very throrough job. Because you cannot set an exact appointment, you get a floter date and you cannot make sure that they are doing a good job.
I discovered after they had been to my house that they had completely forgotten to clean the eaves at the back of the house. When I called to tell them this, they just told me that they had done them and that was that.
I will not be using their services again.

I have had a similar experience with the window cleaning, they only seem to clean the glass and leave the rest of the dirt around the window frames, that to me is not window cleaning. I won't be using them again to clean my windows. I wrote a comment on their feedback when sending payment and I never heard back or received an acknowledgement of it.
