Exhaust fan installations. Upgrade panel.

Derek runs this franchise and does an excellent job. Insta llations were done properly and to code. Had a problem with one of my connections. Derek was right on top of it. After sales service is excellent. Will definitely recommend Derek's franchise to any one I know.

worst company ever

Mr electric attended my home Jared and two apprentices. They removed a Chandilier no issues. They left a very young kid to remove my master fan light combo. It was very high end I told them many many times it was purchased to match the set and not replaceable Jared told the apprentice this he told me three times. Jared went with one apprentice to deal with the chandelier and left the other one to take down fan/light. This guy looked about 16 or 17 the most. He took the globe down of the fan and broke it. Then no one told me. I came back to the room and the kid says to me I am really sorry I know it was expensive. I am like what are you talking about. He says Jared did not tell you. I said no. He said I broke your globe. I took it down left it on Ur bed then dropped something
on it. I go down Jared was like oh so now u tell me. After I find out. He said we will look for a globe. I told him it was not made any more and they would never find it. He said yes they would not to worry. I told Jared I told u this was very Important as it matches the set. He says I know ,I told him. He is new and made a mistake. He should have been unsupervised in my opinion given the situation but clearly they do not care about your belongings. The girl that answers their phone says to me well they have to learn sometime. Sure learn but be supervised. I had to chase them for days to find out if they found one. After chasing them for a week they finally ordered a new one. Which I agreed to but still was not happy as I wanted the one the matched my set. Then they showed up at my new house to install it. They never confirmed an app with me and just showed up. How rude. I had to miss two app for them. Then they said they would be two hours then they charged me 5 hrs work they were here 10:15 to 1;15. Then they charged me travel time which they never mentioned before. When they came in with the bill i argued As it was almost double and had travel time, which was never discussed. Jared said he spoke to Derek and Derek said we are already losing money on this job so this is what we are charging. I paid 1000 to take down and chandelier and fan and over 900 to put up one fan. How does this made sense. He basically was trying to cover the fan cost. So in essence he did
not replace my fan for free I paid. Anyone I called said Max 350 to install that combo. I will be reporting them to better business Beureau. The quote was doubled to pay for the fan they broke. I am not that stupid. Stay away from the people if you value your belongings and if you want your quote to match your bill as both mine were different . I did not sign the form as I plan to file a claim to recoup my cost difference. I just cannot believe Derek actually said we are losing money in his job so... So your guy broke it why should I have to pay for that diffeence. very unprofessional maybe Derek should not leave is new apprentices alone to do work until they are qualified. I did pay the bill in full. The people who come to the house are polite. But clearly owner is something else. when it Comes to quotes and final bills total different. Not to mention if you arrive with three people to do a job make sure all three are trained. if your staff were all trained then my fan combo would not be broken. And watch for hidden costs from them
like travel and others costs. They say to you well we write rough quote. A quote is a quote if you come to see it you should know. Now I know it's part of their ploy to get more funds. In my case they had to add costs to cover the fan they broke. So I guess small claims court will settle this issue. Not a reputable or honest place at all. Oh and when Jared called me once to talk about fan replacement he says to me well if it makes u feel better that guy will probably be fired as it is second big thing he broke. I said not it does not actually makes me feel worse as clearly he should have been supervised. And I wrote and note on final bill that I did not sign stating about hidden costs to cover fan and I would be reporting them and issueing a claim and guess what no call from Derek at all. That says a lot to me about the company and owner.

Change switch to switch/receptacle combo on furnace switch.

Technician named Jared was very knowledgeable and advised me on the cheapest way to do this job.
I wanted to relocate the outlet but it didn't justify the extra cost involved and would require a permit to complete, which I was totally unaware of.
Jared was very professional and completed the job in a very short time.

Installed new light fixtures, supplied and installed fluorescent sockets in laundry room, changed over aluminum in garage switch and plug and replaced outside GFCI plug and bubble cover.

Jared was very professional and courteous. He explained everything he was doing and even checked out the other light in the laundry room which was unstable. He cleaned up all debris and disposed of it. I am very satisfied with his service and would highly recommend him.

light switches, working on 240v service for our garage

My wife and I moved into our house a year ago and wanted start working on our garage this coming spring. We would like to put a car lift in there and it requires 240V service, as well as adding in additional lighting and outlets. We also understand it is important to test the waters with something small first in order to insure they are who they claim to be. So we hired them to change out some light switches for dimmers. They did an amazing job and charged us a very fair rate for the job, the tech that came out to do the job was Greg and he was very professional and punctual. So we had them come back out and start hooking up the 240v to the garage and again Greg was very punctual and professional and did an outstanding job. We will defiantly have Mr. Electric come back out in the spring to do our garage lighting and finish hooking up the lift along with any other electrical jobs we come up with by then. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone who knows how important it is to have a professional company handling your electrical issues! Electrical and plumbing are the two most important part to a house and if not done right can become a nightmare. We are truly glad we found Mr. Electric.

Don't know which Mr. Electric this young man was from--905-773-0857. But he couldn't have been nicer and more efficient, and in about half an hour fixed a lighting problem we've had for two years. I'd call on him anytime.

Wiring repair

We have had many funky electrical problems over a year or so, including apparent burnt-out electrical sockets and funny-acting lights. The electrician showed up exactly when promised, and quickly diagnosed our problem (accurately). He didn't have all the parts he needed, but ran out to the local hardware store and got the required parts. He didn't charge for the extra time this took to get those parts. He made sure everything was working perfectly before he left our house. Mr. Electric was fast and accurate. He cleaned up his mess before he left our house. I've given our review under their Newmarket address but I believe they have a location in Concord or Maple, and that was the location we actually called. We recommend them to friends and family, without hesitation.

Replaced 200 amp power

Lost power to the house on Jan. 6/13 because the power cable/base was damaged by settling of the ground. Called Mr. Electric for emergency service. They came promptly and took care of all the permits, inspections and arranged for Power Stream to turn on power. Well worth the money if you need power within 24 hours.

Pool Light

The light in the pool never worked since we bought the house. We asked the tech. if he could try to fix it. He took a look at it and found it was only a loose wire. How Honest! I did have him fix another problem while he was here. Thanks again Derek.
