Lodder Brothers Ltd

I’ve always really enjoyed having work done by Lodder Brothers Ltd. They not only come in to check out the problem, but always sit down and talk about what the problem is, what they intend to do about it, how much it’ll cost, how long it’ll take, when they plan to start and when the work will be complete. They create an environment where if you don’t know what’s going on it is not at all the fault of the company. They always live up to what they say they’re going to do, meeting timeline and budget expectations exactly. I have used Lodder Brothers Ltd many times and have never had any problems.

After calling several plumbers that could not come out I called Lodder Brothers Limited for and emergency water leak and was able to speak with a very pleasant person that assured me someone would be able to come and help me. The plumber arrived on time as promised and fixed the leaky water pipe and some other plumbing issues I had. This was a great experience. I will recommend Lodder Brothers to everyone I know. Great Job!

I was looking for a local, trustworthy plumber to look after my basement bathroom renovation. They arrived when they said they would, very polite and professional. This was a very stress free project thanks to Lodder Brothers. I will be absolutely using their services again.

I was trying to build a team of professionals to call on when I had any service needs at my investment property which I rent out. As such, I chose to purchase an annual service contract with Lodder Brothers. They had explicit instructions NOT to talk prices or make suggestions to the tenant. He was to call me to discuss anything.
Instead, they sold the tenant on changing the washing machine hoses (in case they were to break in the future, these ones would never break or leak), and convinced them they need a water softener (which he could provide and install). The tenant, being young and inexperienced, said yes to the hoses and became very concerned about the hard water. The tenant could not afford the hoses, and had expected me to pay. She also requested that we install a water softener, and this became a contention point for the remainder of their tenancy.
When talking on the phone to the plumber, he first said he did not know it was a tenancy arrangement, then later said he had forgotten.
When complaining to the head office, the response was "oh". No apology, no comment.
If the plumber we had was an exception, I would have expected at least an apology and an attempt to ease relations.

I contacted Lodder Bros, as I had water in my basement. I was told that I probably needed a pressure tank. When the plumber arrived, I was told that the problem resulted from a pressure gage and not the tank itself. It took the plumber all of 10 minutes to change the gage. The bill came to $270.00. After the plumber left, I noticed that there was no water pressure. I called back to report the problem and was told that the pressure was fine when the plumber had tested it prior to leaving. I then called Dan Bernard, the manager and left a message for him to call me back. He never did. As it turns out, I did need a pressure tank, I purchased it and had my son install it for me. The water pressure was fine after that. Next time I will call another company for service.

I called them on a Sunday to fix a pinhole leak in an exposed pipe. Close to a T, the exposed pipe needed 3 soldered joints - it wasn't complicated. 40+$ premium cost for weekend work (I'd just love that), extra money for the first job plus details amounted to more than $200+ an hour labour.
There's room for another company that only charges say $100 an hour.
