We had George & Matthew over to our house to repair some electrical issues & install a new outdoor light, George & Matthew are incredibly customer - centric & extremely good at what they do. George was communicative throughout the entire process, explaining to us what needed to be done and what was the best solution. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional electrician who cares about doing good work!

AMAZING!! Fast, professional and amazing deal. They know their stuff. They now have a customer for life with me! Everyone should use Hi-Lite, as i have used many electricians in the past and never has the experience been so amazing....

i used Hi-Lit Electric.. They changed a recepticle, thats it. The bill came to $663.00. Outrageous!!! I would not recommend them to anyone. i should have read the reviews first.

Rip off artists!!!

I thought the initial cost would be 120.00 as mentioned on the phone.
I had two outdoor lights that weren’t working. I had don’t investigation and deductive reasoning myself and couldn’t find the problem.
Before they began the fully explained everything about the company and the cost to look for the issue.
They showed me the price ladder and I thought GREAT I chose the lowest price but lo and behold, to find my problem it was going to be 339.00
So in order to get my outdoor light it was about 550.00
But I did feel that they were worth the expense and I didn’t know anyone else anyway.
In order to get my 500 worth I asked lots of questions

What a pleasant experience! My newly purchased dental practice had an unknown issue with its compressor which controls all my equipment. when looking to purchase a new compressor and suction unit I was made aware that I would require new wiring to increase the power to the units. with out working units my office was shut down! Hi-Lite saved the day with early next day response, quick and precise work, everything done with proper permits and done to code, not to mention well priced. I am glad that I had such important work done by such a great company. I would recommend this company without reservation!

I live in a condo, and the breaker in my living room/dining room blew, hence leaving me without power in those rooms. I called Hi-Lite on the Sunday and could come out on the Monday. They were wishy-washy with the prices, not willing to give me a straight forward answer with regard to the hourly rate, but speaking about diagnostic fees, which your common person does not understand. However, as they were able to come out next day, I went with them. The gentleman who came was polite enough, however, the prices he quoted me were something else. He showed me 3 breakers which were burnt, and could have caused me problems down the line, and as this is all well and good, their prices were not. They were highly inflated. In his glossy book, he showed me an array of prices used for levels 1 through 10, none of which I understood, fancy credentials, and fancy chit chat. He knew I did not fully understand and took advantage, and used it against me. I am very disgusted with that. At a price of 3,352.65 to replace 3 quad breakers and a bus bar. Being in a state of panic, for some reason I agreed (he made it seem like nobody could do the work he did - plus I was just upset). He did some work, got my power up and running, except for the dryer. With an agreement to come back 2 days later. I paid them for the work they did that day - apparently 1,200.00 worth of work, with parts, labour, and the permit - the rest to be paid on completion.

I had someone kind enough to intervene on my behalf. Learning that this price was crazy, I utilized my 24 hour cooling off period and cancelled my agreement with them. In calling other companies, I learned that this was about an 500.00-800.00 job!

Hi-Lite is having a hay-day with my money, and they should be ashamed with themselves. It was really hard to tell if George (the electrician) was ashamed that he was working for such a shady company, or was part owner and was greedy to grab every penny he could....he had quite the stone cold poker face.

Stay away from these guys - Far away.

Basically what the reviewers below have to say, to change a switch that wasn't working, due to wires being crossed that resulted in 40 minutes of work $319 + $89 service call + HST = $475
