Green Apple Landscaping

We recently used Green Apple Landscaping for a complete back yard transformation. We are absolutely delighted with the end result and would highly recommend Green Apple for the following 3 reasons:

1) COST -- We found the cost to be very reasonable, but more importantly transparent. We don't mind paying more for certain things that are important: great design (see further below), structural longevity and high quality materials. From the initial design phase and through every step, we had conversations with the knowledgeable Green Apple team to understand the alternatives and make the best informed choice. This distinguishes the average from the exceptional; we feel that Green Apple had the knowledge to know all the options along the cost spectrum and provide us with the information necessary to make our own decisions. We always felt we had choices in terms of prioritizing our spend.

2) GREAT DESIGN -- We have a very small city backyard that needs to serve multiple purposes. We had to have storage for a motorcycle and all the corresponding technical requirements involved in maneuvering a large piece of machinery through a tight space. We subscribe to an alfresco beach aesthetic, which is a fancy way to say we really wanted to maximize our green space. We had several quotes and numerous discussions with other landscapers to discuss our vision. Green Apple won us over with their focus on form and function. They were the only company to invest the time to take exacting measurements of our bicycles, patio furniture and BBQ, to look at the property from all sight lines and to have detailed conversations about the plants that we liked. The result is they have created a space for us that fully fits all our needs and our lifestyle.

3) QUALITY -- We feel that people who are passionate about what they do are the best kind of people. Green Apple fosters that passion in everyone who works there. Their people do the right thing just because it is the right thing to do. This comes through in the way they treat the job site as their own as well as the companies they select to deal with. We hired Green Apple to landscape our entire front yard. This included a flagstone walkway, retaining wall, planting beds, irrigation system, and new parking pad. We were very pleased with both the process and the result. April, the designer, attentively listened to our concerns, wishes and needs and created a plan that looks great. The GreenApple crew (Victor & Simon) did a wonderful job on our recent back yard landscaping project. Green Apple had landscaped a friend of ours backyard and we were really impressed with their work that we called them to design our property. In our first meeting my husband had made three requests - the first was that we wanted a turnkey project, the second was not to cut our internet cable and the third was not to come back with a design that was over $100,000. Green Apple did break the third request, however we now have a beautiful new landscape that exceeded our expectations. The project in the backyard included a two level deck with the lower level meeting a hot tub, a large flagstone patio, fencing, planting, lighting, and an irrigation system. In the front yard landscaping we had a new flagstone driveway and walkway, facing of the existing porch with matching flagstones, low decorative walls, planting, lighting and a sprinkler system. We were really impressed with the crew. Victor and Simon are really professional and knowledgeable giving us confidence throughout the job that the project was being built to a high standard. We recommend Green Apple to anyone.

This is the second time we have worked with Peter and his team and our experience was the same as the first. They are professional, honest, and most of all absolutely dedicated to quality. The latter is due to the culture of the organization and to their dedicated staff, particularly Victor and Simon, who work to ensure your complete satisfaction - they treat your place as if it was their own. We hired Green Apple to do the landscaping around our house, including a front and side walkway, driveway, back patio, planting and porch and are thrilled with Green Apple and the results. Peter and his team worked with us to come up with a design that we were happy with including the materials that would be used to complete the overall look. The Green Apple crew who arrived to execute the design were nothing short of fantastic. They were professional, friendly, polite (our neighbors were impressed) and just did great work. They treated our property, neighbourhood and the work as if it was their own - meaning, they took the care, diligence, time and attention to detail in executing the design as if they were putting this in on their own property. Throughout, they kept us informed and worked with us during the execution of the design to be sure that we got the result that we wanted (even if it meant making a slight change or tweak here and there). When the job was nearing completion, we told Peter that we would miss having his crew around and we meant it - our son even named a lego man after each of Victor, Simon, Dave and Dan! It was a treat to work with an organization that clearly values honesty and integrity and treats its customers in that manner. We would not hesitate to recommend Peter and his team and would hire them again in a second.

We could not be happier with our experience with Green Apple. From initial meeting, thru design stage to project completion, everyone we dealt with was not only professional, but friendly. All had the same objective as my wife and I - to create the perfect backyard for our family's needs, while staying within our budget and project timeline. The end product is exactly what we wanted. The crew was very hard working and took the time to do the job properly, even when it meant working into the evening. We have already passed along Peter's contact info to several friends, and would not hesitate using Green Apple when the time comes to address the front yard.

I can't tell you how happy my wife and I were the day we arrived home to see the Green Apple guys putting the finishing touches on our home. My wife was actually emotional. In only 10 days they transformed our front yard into a beautiful oasis. The whole crew was a pleasure to work with and our neighbors were very appreciative of that - they were polite, tidy, always on time and just a great group of guys. Believe me, not every crew is like this! They even came back to fix a few things that I wasn't even aware of. The owner Peter made the whole process super easy. Even before I was a customer he gave me a detailed proposal instead of just a basic quote, and spent a few hours with me in person going over my options. Even now that the job is done he gets back to me very quickly whenever I have questions regarding our plants, etc. Also, the designer Andrea is amazing! She really took the time to listen to what we wanted and gave us a few different design options that were just incredible. We are really proud of our house now and we are so glad we decided to go with Green Apple.

We searched for the right company to design and plant a new garden in the front and to the side of our house including installing anew flagstone walkway. The staff including Victor, Simon, Andrea and Deb were all professional, very experienced and attentive to our wishes. We could not be happier and in fact, will be contracting soon to do more. We also liked their guarantees, environmentally green approach and their attention to detail.
