In October 2015, Goldwell was hired to resurface the entire floor area of 2300 sqft for my food processing facility, with a type of polyurethane and epoxy. The company charged a pretty expensive price, as polyurethane is said to withstand high temperature. So we ordered to have 2/3 of the entire area to be coated with this material to be used as our production area; and the remaining 1/3 with epoxy as it would be just for storage.

We with through many difficulties with this contractor once the contract was sighed, as they repeatedly tried to cut cornors throughout their job. The first unpleasant surprise came in the middle of the work when they tried to reduce the area of the expensive coating and increase the area with cheap epoxy coating. They also tried to change colour of coating... trying not to remove debris at the end, etc... The job was finally completed by the end of October. The contract comes with a 5-year warranty.

Early in Feburary 2016, in less than 4 months' time, one spot of the polyurethane floor bubbled up and then cracked up. The company was advised of the situation, the business owner first said he would come in to take a look and fix it, but never showed up in weeks. Contacted again, the company sent an email with an "application form" demanding a payment of $75.00 for warranty inspection, which is not in the terms of the contract. The owner basically refused to honour his warranty obligation. This is absolutely outrageous that he has the nerve to demand additional payment for a warranty call for a job that was obviously so poorly done. And this is not a normal business practice in regards to warranty issues in any field of business. In short, it is so hard to believe that, in this day and age, there is a business like Goldwell, who does not even have any decency to stand behind their job and honour their warranty obligations, especially only after less than 4 months on a 5 year warranty.

I recommend that people stay away from this dishonourable company for their own protection.

You will be hard pressed to find a more professional company than Goldwell. After coming across several contractors who provided me with quotes and never returned to do the job, I am very happy I found Kris and his team. Everything from the initial quote with Hubert, the communication with Edyta throughout the process, to the attention to detail of Kris and his team was excellent. They fit me in quite quickly and the job only took a day longer than expected. Although you pick the colors, they are applied very random and so you have to trust them to give you what you want or at least be very specific on what you want to see. The work crew were professional. The prep work, sanding of concrete, was pretty clean but I took extra precaution to cover everything with plastic anyway. Everyone loves the floor now.

After my great experience with goldwell on the basement floors of our old home, I contacted Goldwell to do major work on our new home which required extensive upgrades. The entire main floor oak hardwood needed to be sanded down and restained (had been stained a garish mahogany colour) and the old dusty rose carpet on the stairs and loft area had to be ripped out and raw oak laid down, sanded and stained to match main floor. The crew did an amazing job and the floor is now a timeless custom stain colour that will never go out of style. The stair treads and loft look like they were installed at the same time as the downstairs.
There were a lot of dated oak accents and large beams that needed a boost. Kris and the crew worked with us to find the best colour and did an amazing job staining them to modernize the while look of the house.
There was a lot of patching and drywalling where we moved walls, removed closets, and tidied up the areas around the other reno's.
The crew also did an excellent job painting the very high walls and patching the ceilings to cover where repairs and reno's had been done. I highly recommend goldwell for drywall, painting, staining and floor refinishing needs.

Goldwell has done exterior painting for us twice before and this interior job was done just as well. We are very happy with their work and highly recommend them. Price for this interior job was very competitive compared to other quotes received. The crew arrived every day exactly when they said they would and accommodated my itinerary to arrive a little earlier than they normally do. The entire job was done efficiently and professionally. Kris arrived almost every day to check and help where needed and when they were finished, the crew cleaned everything up - vacuumed, cleaned french door windows, and even removed some window sealer that was dripping down on some windows outside (which was not part of the job!!). Overall excellent work!

I seldom buy anything without researching it, but since I saw the installation at my nephew's new home and he praised the company, blindly ahead I plunged. Wow, missed appointments galore, entering the garage with no appointment to work on the job, through a side door they left opened, (triggering a security alarm response), applying product with insufficient grit which turns it into a slippery surface every time it rains that is worse than wet ice, applying the product prior to rain (which caused the product to flow and discolour), and disappearing from contact within a few days. After chasing down the phone number, it led to an apartment which was recently vacated. I have included a photo so you can see the effect of the botched job. Getting this job done wrong is not only unsightly, but creates a situation of risk of personal injury and legal repercussions.

We happened to pass Goldwell's retail location while out on an errand. Inside there were many large (4'x8') samples to view for colours and patterns. Kris is a pleasant individual who spends the time with a customer to determine what a customer needs, and then helps them narrow down the available suitable options to what suites their personal tastes and budget. There are no sales pressure tactics used. I came home and checked Goldwell out on Homestars.

Kris came to the house to evaluate the mess left behind by the previous installers, and the particular requirements of the project. He found additional errors of which we were unaware involving drainage. His workmen arrived promptly as scheduled throughout the project, and Kris personally returned on a few occasions to check the site and ensure our satisfaction during the process. Kris's workmen were a pleasure to have working at the house. They cleaned up meticulously at the end of each day, so that their worksite again became our home. Kris and his crew are a rarity that every homeowner hopes to find, professional craftsmen who treat your home as their own. One cannot ask for more

Goldwell replaced our entire garage floor. We are very pleased with the results. We now have the best looking garage floor in the neighborhood. It is well graded, so we no longer have our previous issue with rain.
Goldwell were great. The customer service was very good. They always kept us up to date on the progress, and were on-site when they were expected. The workers and management were good to work with. The price was in line with our other 2 quotations.
