Sofa

This place is a joke! After ordering a sofa from Sept 23rd, they still haven't delivered our sofa to us, now it's the end of January. When I ordered my sofa, they told me it would be delivereed about 4-6 weeks. I thought sitting on the floor for about 5 weeks, it would be ok, but after 6th, 7th, 8th. my neck and back is starting to become sore. I called the Chesterfield shop to find out when they will deliver, they said approx 9 weeks. I ask them in this case, either compensation for the delay or a refund since the sofa is not here yet. When the sofa finally came, they gave us the wrong one.Then they gave me an excuse saying from the hurricane, it is delayed but will order it again through the manufacturer. This time, they told us about 8-9 weeks. We called again around the mid Jan to try and get an exact date. After calling 1.5 weeks, we found out they actually don't even have our sofa material in stock. When I tried calling again and again to the Newmarket location, they are not returning my calls. I am fed it up with this! Right now, I just want my money back! Anyone out there shopping around, I recommend BEWARE of THE CHESTERFIELD SHOP. The furniture you buy will be back ordered for months and months!

Sofa Bed

Jordan was attentive and professional as always and guided us to the best sofa bed for our needs. We were very happy that it was Canadian-made quality and were able to have it delivered the next day. The delivery staff were great and very careful in setting the sofa up.

leather recliner

I recently purchased a custom coloured leather recliner at the Chesterfield Shop. The salepeople not only took the time to help me choose the right colour, they moved my fabric swatches around the store to ensure the colour was perfect in every light! I received two calls to let me know the order was in the works and finally that it arrived ahead of schedule. The deliverymen were courteous, pleasant and took the time to place the chair (upstairs!) In exactly the right spot.
Thanks Chesterfield Shop! Great service, great chair and great pricing.

New sectional

The Chesterfield Shop (this location, because it's closest to where I live) is my go-to store when looking for furniture. My most recent purchase was a sectional for my basement - I had looked at other stores closer to where I live, but I couldn't find anything the right size or price - The Chesterfield Shop had a great deal more selection, and the prices really are competitive. I find the service people friendly and not pushy. I will always return in the future!

Coffee Table

I recently purchased a new coffee table for our living room. I went to the Chesterfield shop (they are my 'go to" store) as I have always bought my sofas from them. Once again, they came thru with flying colours! They had both the selection and price point I was looking for. Their staff was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. The table was ready when promised and looks great in our house.
I highly recommend The Chesterfield shop!!

Recliner Sofa, Chair and Ottoman

This company is absolutely horrible when it comes to service and quality. I ordered my couch, chair and ottoman back in May 2012 and when it was delivered in July they sent the wrong couch. I immediately called and after several ridiculously rude conversations with customer service and their sorry excuse for a manager, I was told that the correct couch would be ordered and delivered by September. It is now end of October and I still have not received the correct couch. We have tried to follow up and get an update and were told that we had received the correct couch! After explaining to their customer service that they did not ever send us the replacement we got a call back the next day saying they do not know when the correct couch will be delivered as there is a problem with the manufacturer. I have never had such a terrible experience with any furniture company as I have had with this company. They are incredibly rude and always take the approach that the customer is always wrong. And now we are having an issue with the ottoman where the hinges are loose. I haven't bothered to call the company yet as I'm sure I'll be told that somehow the shoddy quality of the ottoman will be my fault as well. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Love Seat

Worst customer service EVER!!! I ordered a love seat at the end of May and am still waiting for it (almost November). The sent me the wrong one 8 weeks ago, said they were to deliver the correct one yesterday and just NEVER came. Also, good luck trying to get an answer from them on the phone. They're brutal.

Couch - wish I hadn't bothered!

Oh how I wish I read these reviews before making the mistake of shopping at the Chesterfield Shop! I found a couch I liked and had it ordered, it was delivered by a nice team of people according to schedule. I chose for the delivery people to not unpack the couch, as I had just moved into my home and had extensive painting/renos to do and figured the couch would be safe left in its wrapper. Several weeks later I unwrapped the couch and all I had to do was attach the four legs supplied and sit back and relax - right? WRONG! One of the four legs would not attach properly, the upholstery was too bulky in one corner to allow the leg to sit straight - no matter, that leg was going to be crooked. I called immediately, but my mistake, it was a weekend, the store is definitely open and willing to take your money on a weekend, but don't expect to get help over the phone. Many phone calls, messages and emails later a delivery crew was sent to my home to look at the problem. The problem was not solved by the delivery team, they attempted to remove the problem leg and re-position it so it would sit properly. The leg was still crooked and now completely out of line from the other legs (and this is a couch style where the legs are rather prominent). I contacted the store again (at this time the situation had been on-going for weeks, and I was less than pleased, as I had dealt with a number of rude people over the phone, and the delivery team that came to "fix" the leg?! - don't get me started!). I was assured a call back the following day with a solution to the problem. When I received that call back I was shocked to have the person I was dealing with inform me that there had been a meeting to discuss my issue and the conclusion was that the situation was entirely MY fault, as I had attached the leg incorrectly - I was told that I had apparently put the leg on in the wrong spot and created new screw holes for it to fit in and did not use the pre-drilled holes or all of the hardware supplied. Completely untrue and I am quite sure I would have remembered drilling all new holes into a brand new couch (who would do that?), and why on earth would I have looked at a handful of screws and decided on only using half of them?! I informed the person I was dealing with that this was ridiculous, completely untrue and in fact it was the DELIVERY TEAM who came back out that had drilled new holes and moved things around. And the screws that were "left out" actually never came with the couch, all 8 screws supplied were used, if there was more hardware to the couch, it was never supplied to me. It was then arranged for another delivery team to come out with new legs (a different style that should sit better). They arrived within the week and the problem was solved with these new legs (and I will add the couch looks better with these new legs). Although my problem was eventually solved, it was not without some major headaches. Customer service was rude and never have I encountered a business that takes the "customer is always WRONG" approach. I would not recommend this company and am glad I do not have to deal with them again (fingers crossed).

sectional

Great company to deal with. I walked in with some apprehensions about dealing with pushy sales people but Chesterfield seems to have created a really great environment. No-pressure sales people who were able to answer all of our mundane questions.

Delivery service was excellent too. We have a very difficult entrance for large items and they were able to quickly problem solve and get us set up.

All in all, we had great service, easy delivery and are really happy with the purchase. Would definitely recommend them.
