On Jan. 21 I noticed the hot water tank was leaking. Having purused Homestars.com before, I returned to this site in search of a plumbing service. Based on the consistency of positive reviews from the past few years to the present time, I decided to call Canada Wide Plumbing. Flavio came out the next morning.

From the moment of my initial contact with Flavio to the completion of the job, communication between us went well. He took the time to explain what could be done to control the leakage and made sure I understood.

As an added bonus for me, Flavio and his assistant Matt located the power source to my Hot Water Tank. Not an easy task as it is an old fuse box panel and I, the recent homeowner, had not a clue as to where it was (I do now thanks).

Most impressive of all to me was when the work was pretty much complete, and the water turned back on, Flavio noticed some dripping water coming from the valves he had attached. Not satisfied, he asked Matt to disassemble the valve/fitting while he returned the faulty parts to the store. He told me that the parts had recently been purchased and that the store needed to know that it had defective valves on sale to the public, and that this was not acceptable. Soon after, Flavio returned and re-did the job with the replacement valves. Although pressed for time with other appointments, he made clear to me what I needed to do in order to prevent flooding of the basement until another hot water tank is installed. It has been over two weeks and so far so good.

I definitely recommend Canada Wide Plumbing & Mechanical Services Inc. and will certainly call on them again when i install my new water tank heater.

Of course right around the holidays we see our main floor hall ceiling had some paint peeling and water damage. Great timing as we are entertaining! It wasn't severe but we didn't want it to become a major issue either. Flavio came very quickly after we called (next morning) and carefully opened up the ceiling without damaging our crown moulding and found out it was the overflow of our bath that was leaking water. That was the bad news - the good news he was able to find a part and repair it that day. We didn't have to rip out the 60 year old tub and incur a major bathroom reno. I've gotten to know Flavio well over through HomeStars events and he truly is an honest and 10 star contractor. He also made some suggestions on other areas of the house we should improve. Well worth having him come. Thank you again!

I had clogged the shower drain in the basement. Flavio at Canada Wide Drain Service attended fairly quickly and was able to remove the problem within minutes. He then made further suggestions with respect to further clearning of the drain.

Canada Wide Drain Services Inc. was sub-contracted to work for our general contracting company. Flavio was well prepared and ready to complete the job when needed. He performed the work in a timely fashion and worked well with our other trades. If needed, we would have Canada Wide Drain Services Inc. do more work for us. Thank you Falvio for a job well done.

The work was to change a kitchen faucet for my mom who is a senior citizen and living on her own. Flavio gave me an estimate over the phone and the final bill came in at less than the estimate even though they encountered some challenges and had to reinforce the underside of the counter due to previous faulty work by another company years before.

Flavio even gave me an analysis of the general conditions of the old pipes and suggested what work might have to be done next to keep them in good working order.

Flavio was very professional and courteous and my mom even phoned me after the work was done to say "Nice guys".
