Bravehart Building And Design

Ongoing issue with project deficiencies. We had a complete main floor remodel that included the addition of a 5th bedroom on our 2nd floor in the spring/summer of 2014. Since making our final payment to Bravehart, a number of deficiencies have surfaced and have not been addressed.

Most significantly, our new hardwood floors now have huge gaps due to improper duct ventilation and we have not been able to purchase furniture, or enjoy our expensive renovation. Other items include trim that appeared to be painted has the wood bleeding through, throughout the house; trim installed incorrectly around fireplace hearth that now has significant gaps (adhered to floor and not hearth); further flooring issues due to HVAC vents being covered during installation (3 in total) - 2 of these were corrected when duct cleaners identified them and a 3rd was overlooked until heat being trapped underneath the floor caused the floor to gap excessively.

The initial deficiencies were addressed at the end of the job in the late summer of 2014, while our final payment to Bravehart was still being withheld. Additional items popped up in the fall/winter and were brought to the attention of Laura in Jan 2015. These were initially responded to in Jan and reviewed onsite by Bill in late Feb. Items were acknowledged and we were asked to wait until the summer to have everything addressed. Contact was made with Bill on numerous occasions with the last contact from Bill being in August, which indicated “he was crazy busy" but would send someone by the following week. All contact has been ignored since that time.

Based on our experience, once Bravehart is paid, you will never see them again - not a characteristic you want in a contractor.

We hired Bravehart to design and build a one storey addition to our home. Their work is first class! The project was completed on budget and close to on time.
Laura, who deals with the design phase, takes great pride in her work and Bill, who manages the building phase, attends to every detail of the project. He is on the work site virtually daily and supervises all the work of his sub contractors. They themselves were pleasant and competent people to have around one's home!
We are delighted with the finished room and would not hesitate to recommend Bravehart for any building project.

This review is for the design phase of our kitchen/family room. We moved into a lovely house six years ago with a terrible, inefficient kitchen and pokey tv room. For six years I've been thinking about how to make this both a functional and beautiful space. I had been unable to come up with any given the odd footprint of the house. I chose Bravehart because I liked the idea of having someone experienced in space design and interior design but what really got my attention was the formal project framework Bravehart applies. With the wish list provided, Laura set out to try and fit in all the things we wanted. My husband and I were starting to think we needed a new list of what we would give up when Laura produced a plan that was pure genius - we didn't need to give up anything! Laura managed to untie the Gordian Knot! Looking forward to the detailed design and build phase!

Bravehart Building is a well organized company that looks at every detail from Design through Permit Planning and Construction.. I enjoy doing the plumbing with such a wonderful team of individuals. If you are looking for a designer and builder to get the job done right there is no need to look any further they are the perfect choice! You won't be disappointed.

I worked with Laura Pollard of Bravehart Design to create plans to renovate my home. We had very specific requirements that required a great deal of creativity and customization in order to achieve.
