Al Miley & Associates

Have used on 2 occasions. 9 months ago had a large cheery tree split in half with weight of branches and ant damage that was falling towards wires to house. Sevice was prompt, tree removed safely and quickly with a perfect cleanup of all branches/leaves, and subsequent stump grinding to level. Also used their services year prior to trim 2 apple trees and remove a dead branch 30 feet off the ground -- similar to above, was pleasantly surprised by the prompt, professional job with perfect cleanup. Will definately use again in the future.

Have used Al Miley a number of times and have always been happy. They were originally recommended by our builder. Prices are much lower than other quotes and work has always been exactly as expected.

Al Miley has been one of the best contractors I ever dealt with - they have done a great job on a tree in a difficult location. A large cherry tree in our front yard split and separated by several inches near the base of the trunk and was in danger of falling on our neighbours' property. The tree is otherwise healthy.

The first company we contacted stated that removing the tree was the only option, and they would not consider trying to save the tree.

Al Miley & Associates (Rob Jeager) also recommended removal, but also gave us the option of cutting back half the canopy and bracing the tree to stabilize it.

The crew showed up on time and completed the job in about 4 hours. The tree looks much better than I was expecting, as after cutting a lot off the top of the tree they carefully 'shaped' the remaining branches to leave a nice, rounded, natural looking canopy.

They were respectful of our neighbour with a shared driveway, and only blocked the driveway for about half an hour. They also cleaned up all of the branches and debris on our lawn, driveways and street.

We are very pleased with the service that we received.

Al's team was polite and professional. They efficiently completed the job and cleaned up all the debris resulting from their work. I had some old deadwood in the back and they obligingly fed that into their mulching machine. All in all, a neat pruning and tree removal job! Thank you, Al and team.

AL Miley produced a comprehensive arborist report for our committee of adjustment meeting and city hall. The report correctly identified all trees that needed protection and helped easy relations with the neighbours. Al’s tree protection methodology was accepted by urban forestry without questions.

Al’s team that trimmed a numbers of large trees on our and the neighbours property were professional, hard working and very tidy. Al himself was on hand to direct the team at the beginning of the job. Al was easy to remain in contact with during the day, and responsive to the changing needs of the job.

I saw Al Miley's reviews on Homestars and decided to call them. Rob came out and gave me a quote as well as helpful advice on how to revive my crabapple trees (they had been infested with caterpillars in the spring) i.e. he wasn't pushy at all. The quote was much less expensive than Davey Tree so I went with Al Miley and I was not disappointed. They wrote the arborist report and did all the work in submitting a permit to the City for my Pine tree. Altogether they removed a huge Pine in my backyard which was very close to the house, two crabapple trees and the stumps. All of the workers were very friendly and efficient. I would recommend Al Miley to friends and family.

Top-notch. An excellent experience. The team showed up on time and ready to complete the job. They were pleasant to deal with and answered all our questions. They completed the job quickly and efficiently. As we looked out into the backyard as the job was being completed, we were quite nervous about the mess that might be left behind but they cleaned up beautifully after they were done. They a significant amount of height off of a gigantic oak trunk in the backyard and, on our request, even cut for us two disks of the trunk which we wanted to finish into end table tops! They charged exactly the price quoted which was very reasonble compared to other quotes we had received.
