2 Guys Painting

I hired 2 Guys Painting last Feb when we moved into our new (old) house. Dave's team delivered everything on time and on budget and were extremely professional - and Sham is drywall repair genius! They were also incredibly helpful in terms of reco's for paint type and quantity. They aren't the cheapest company - but I've hired cheap(er) painters in the past and you truly get what you pay for. I have just hired them again for additional interior painting and will continue to, whenever the need arises - I don't bother calling around. Great team to work with!

We asked Dave's advice about removing our 'popcorn' ceiling without damaging the room's wallpaper. His team was confident that this could be done as they had done many times. I called his reference for exactly what we were intending to do. They had excellent results. Our ceilings in the 3 rooms look fabulous with the stucco removed and repainted. He also re-caulked and painted the moulding. The rest of the work included hall and bedroom ceilings.

Dave and his crew were absolutely superb. Dave provided us with very sound advice, professional service and competitive pricing...even on additional work that we requested. The crew were all talented tradesmen who took great pride and care in their work. They were there on time and completed when they said they would be. One very minor deficiency was immediately addressed. We would highly recommend 2 Guys to anyone and will certainly use them in the future. Thanks guys!

Wanting to be thorough, I had 9 different quotes to paint the entire house, except the bedrooms and the upstairs bathrooms. When Dave showed up to give his quote, he was punctual and very forthcoming with his suggestions. Since he was about the 6th quote, by that time I thought I had a pretty good idea about what I was looking at to get the job done. I was so wrong! Dave spotting things and pointed out stuff that everyone else had missed. There was a lot of patchwork and repairs that needed to be done and yet none of the others seemed to notice. While we were standing in the kitchen chatting about the job, he also noticed that the ceiling was in terrible condition and suggested that it be patched, re skimmed and painted. Upon closer inspection he was absolutely right. I had to agree! Rather randomly and off the topic of paint I made a remark about how I hated the kitchen cabinets and the cream colour of them. Dave thought they were great cabinets and in excellent condition and suggested an alternative to replacing them, something that I would never have though off. Needless to say, not only did I request the quote for the painting, but also to have the kitchen cabinets redone.
Dave's quote was delivered later that same evening. It was not the lowest, not close, having said that, my gut instinct knew 2 Guys was the team that I needed to do this job and get it done with my standard of perfection. Those other quotes did not make any sense and could not have been accurate for the amount of work and time required for what really needed to be done. Cheap is not the way to go if you want quality work.
Dave and his crew, Brian, Sham and Rich showed up exactly at the agreed time. They arranged the furniture and covered everything for protection and went about their work. They prepped, patched and did trim work for a few days. A lot of patch and repairs were required, more then than I initially had thought. Just as we thought the project was wrapping up, I suddenly had a change of heart and wanted 3 walls repainted. This crew did not even hesitate; it was done the next day.
Dave did my kitchen cabinets in the colour of my choice (dark brown) and the doors were sent out to be lacquered and baked then reinstalled. His crew even installed the new hardware for me. The kitchen is stunning!! It looks better then new.
I cannot say enough about 2 Guys Painting. They are an amazing crew with outstanding attitudes. They worked hard for 5 long days 2 of which were during the last of the winter terrible snow storms. They were never late and never complained about anything. Dave’s crew are a super friendly, and I quite enjoyed being "snowed in. In fact I got used to Rich singing all day and honestly can say we missed him when he was gone!
When Dave and I first met, he said to me "you do not pay one penny until you are satisfied with the job". Immediately I thought this was a great business move. Other painters/contractors want 25 - 35% upfront. Honestly, if someone is running a business responsibly, that business does not need a deposit in order to get started on a job. It should be able to sustain itself for the duration of the project and ensure the customers are satisfied before asking for payment. 2 Guys is unique in this way.
There are many things to consider when you are about to hire a contractor and I thought I knew most of it. I hope this information gives the readers something to think about. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and more!
2 Guys Painting, is a crew of a different sort. Dave is so knowledgeable and has the contacts to go above and beyond. The Team has so much pride in what they do and showed they go above and beyond to ensure complete customer satisfaction and they always have a smile to share with the customer.
I am proud to display their sign on my front lawn for the neighbours to see.

I cannot say enough about 2 Guys Painting. I have used them for a few projects now and have been extremely pleased- I wouldn't even consider calling anyone else. I have exceptionally high standards and my expectations have always been exceeded. Dave and his team are professional, reliable and deliver amazing quality. I have hired 2 Guys Painting on two separate occasions and I can honestly say that they did a wonderful job both times. Dave and his team were professional, clean and punctual. The pricing quote was fair and easy to understand. I particularly liked the fact that Dave was able to offer up suggestions because my house has some un-conventional architectural features and my aesthetic flair is non-existant. Top marks all around!

I had a urgent job since we made a last minute decision to list our house and our Open House was only 3 days away. Dave was very responsive, got back to me immediately, provided an on-site quote and scheduled the job right away. The painting was completed on schedule and the work was meticulous. I would highly recommend 2 Guys Painting and will use their services again in the future.

Home renovation is never an easy process, but I have to say, I have never experienced a trade so reliable, professional, meticulous and flexible as Dave and his crew. They have painted our entire house in several home renos. They are always so great moving their schedules to accommodate our needs. They have given great advice on colour choices, how the walls should be painted and the paints to be used. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the value of the work. Best of all, they are trustworthy, really hardworking and such a pleasure to deal with on a daily basis while they are painting.

Dave was very helpful in selecting colours and making suggestions. His crew were very helpful and were accessible for any questions. They showed up on time and the project was completed when they promised.
This is the second time I have used Dave and have been pleased with his work on both occasions.
