Finer Edge Painting & Improvements

I was so impressed with both the quality of the job and the service I received from Finer Edge. Bill was really clear with the quote and how long it would take; the job was managed by Colin and Shane and was seamless even though we were out of town for most of it. They were all professional and wonderful to work with.

The team at Finer Edge did a great job on the exterior of my house and detached garage. I knew once Bill came by and spent over 30 minutes discussing the job and providing a highly detailed quote (a page long), that I was dealing with a professional company. In fact, I didn't even bother seeking alternative quotes - the price seemed right and we could not be happier. My first impressions were reinforced when Colin came by to scout out the job and ensure his team would have everything they needed to be productive on day one. This included reviewing the quote, walking through some areas of concern (over-spray, rusted metal trim, flaking paint, etc.) and custom colour matching. My job was then assigned a Project Manager (really!) named Taylor who was present to ensure everything went smoothly. The job was completed in just two days (less than the 3 originally planned). I met the painters at the end of day one and pointed out a bit of trim that to be painted a different colour and on day two this fix was addressed. Taylor then offered to come by the house to walk through the finished job to ensure we were happy and collect payment. I look forward to working with these guys again in the Fall to work on the interior. Thanks.

The team from Finer Edge showed an incredible attention to detail and had my satisfaction in mind 100% of time. The interior ceiling was very old and needed to be sanded to get rid of cracks. The project lead Vince, without hesitation had his team come back and redo the ceiling as some of the cracks reappeared. I am quite sure this was to do with the age of the house, but Vince never hesitated to arrange at his cost to redo the entire ceiling. Now that is truly caring about the final product and how the customer feels. The outside of the house had not beem painted for quite some time and sucked up more than the 2 coats of paint that were quoted for the job. Again Vince and his team did not hesitate to put another couple coats on the front to ensure it looked terrific. I would highly recommend Finer Edge and Vince's team.

We have been using Finer Edge for more than 20 years. They
have always exceeded our expectations. They are meticulous,
fairly priced and honest. The people doing the work are neat, courteous
and skilled. Tony's crew just finished painting our exterior (stucco, trim
and eaves, plus some interior). Great guys. They also did a nice carpentry job replacing exterior window trim. A few years ago, another crew took on a tough wallpapering job in our previous home. Same result. We have used Finer Edge perhaps 10 times and have never been disappolinted.

Having decided to get our entire interior house painted our first decision was to research HomeStars and the clear number one choice was Finer Edge. We called them to get a quote and one of the owners, Bill, showed up, gave us a very competitive quote and we have not looked back. If we could, we would give Finer Edge an "11" star rating out of 10 - they were that good! From consulting with Colin regarding paint colours, installation of a ceiling medallion and crown moulding in the master bedroom, every detail was organized and perfectly planned. Luigi oversaw the project and he was forever professional, engaging, focused and attentive to all requests. A finer person you will not meet. The painters were Mo and Jeff and they did an absolutely superb job, painting each room, hallway and trim to standards of perfection. They prided themselves in their work and also prided themselves as representatives of Finer Edge. They were prompt, attentive, hard working, obliging and master painters. Our fifty year old home looks brand new and like a custom home now. We have had many painters in the past, but they all pale in comparison to these consummate professionals. Finer Edge is an appropriate name for the company because the actual painting is done with the finest edge imaginable and possible. Our job was a challenge because Finer Edge had to cover factory finished white exterior windows and doors to make them black. The amount of sanding and preparation was key in the final success, and they not only understood the challenge, they put in all the time and effort required for an excellent end result. The entire team, starting with Shane, is polite, tidy and they truly care about, and take pride in their work. I would not hesitate to recommend Finer Edge for any painting project that requires attention to detail, significant preparation and thoughtful execution.
