Window and patio door replacement

I had Welda replace all windows except the basement ones, as well as a sliding patio door. The windows looked very nice and were well-installed by installers who seemed to know what they were doing and worked efficiently.

I have had some problems with some of the windows 7 years later, but Welda he said they will address these concerns via their warranty program. Once this is addressed, I would be happy to call Welda again to replace the rest of my windows and doors.

I also have two relatives who have had Welda install windows and/or doors for them -- one many years prior to my own installation -- and they are happy with them to date.

Window and patio door replacement

I had Welda replace all windows except the basement ones, as well as a sliding patio door.

I was happy with the windows at first -- they looked very nice and were well-installed by people who seemed to know what they were doing and worked efficiently.

However, 7 years later, almost all of the windows (of varying shapes, and including the bay window) have condensation between the panes. I am not talking about condensation on the inside, but between the two panes of glass on the inside of the outer pane. This results in clouding that I assume will get worse over time, and also leaves water marks between the panes on days when there is no condensation there.

would be more generous with the rating if it was just one or two windows, but all of them? This is worse performance than what you'd get from the cut-rate windows they install in new houses.

On the other hand, I recognize that my experience might be limited to a specific period of manufacture -- I was referred to Welda by someone who had windows replaced by them years prior to my own installation, and none of their windows have these problems to this date. Still, it's enough to not have have confidence in their consistency.
