We were looking to replace our tank water heater, we were renting, with a tankless model. Called Convertible and got an appointment the next day for an onsite quote. Chris called me beforehand to say he was on his way. I asked Chris about the two different companies I was considering and he did an inspection and indicated that both were possible. He did not try to upsell, was very honest and I asked him for a recommendation between the two and he gave me his opinion. I would say the quote I received was very competitive. The installers arrived on time and completed the job in the time they had indicated. They were meticulous. First time I have done business with Convertible and wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again and recommend them to others. Great company to deal with.

We purchased a living room set from this company 18 months ago. Three months ago, we had an issue with our sofa. I called for service under the warranty but they claimed the sofa was no longer under warranty as it was past 1 year. I told them that the manufacturer's website covers the sofa for 5 years for springs so they called the manufacturer who confirmed that the sofa was under warranty. After several calls more calls to this company to get service, someone finally came on March 30 (about 2 months after my initial call). They indicated that they needed a part from the manufacturer so they could not complete the repair. After 2-3 weeks passed, I received no call from Designer Furniture so I called them. Joseph, who I spoke to on may occassions, indicated that they were still waiting for the part and eventually called me on April 29 to indicate that they would need to pick up the sofa to repair it but that he could not provide a time now and he would call me. Nine days passed and no call so I called Joseph. He asked me again for my address, which I had provided 9 days back, and indicated that he could not provide a date for pick up. I asked him how long would that take as I already waited another 9 days. Well Joseph became rude, raised his voice and would not let me get a word in and threatened to not pick up the sofa this week or next and indicated that when they were ready to pick it up, they would call me that same day and if I was available fine and if not too bad. I told him that he was being disrespectful and asked for his Managers name to which he said that not only would he not provide, that I could find out for myself and proceeded to hang up the phone. I have initaited more than a dozen calls to this company over the last 3 months- they have only called me twice. If you are dealing with this company beware. Not only do their staff not seem to care about clients, they don't feel it is their obligation to call clients to update them. My suggestion to the owner(s) of this company is that they should send their employees on a customer service course.

Jason Gibson came to our house today to review a partial blockage in our basement drain pipe. Jason recommended the right solution and was courteous and extremely professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Jason and ExpressRooter to someone!

A couple of years ago I had a leak in the middle of winter and called three companies. Avenue Road Roofing was the only one to call back the same day and came the next day to inspect the problem. They found what was causing the leak and came back to fix it in a couple of days. For this work I would give them an 8 out of 10- a would have given a 10 for this if they had fixed it the same day they came to inspect it. When it was time to replace my roof, I called them on May 10 for a quote. They called me back within 24 hours and came out Friday to provide a quote. They measured the roof but Sean did not provide me with a quote that same day as most companies do but indicated that the cost would be $2.80 per square foot and indicated I would get the quote by the Monday or Tuesday. Having received no email with the quote on Thursday, I called and Sean indicated that I would definitely receive the quote that evening. That evening passed and so did may other days until I called again the following Tuesday (11 days after he visited for the estimate). Sean was not in the office but Kathleen indicated that once he called her back, she would call me back which she did not. I finally received the quote the next day and it was no where near the $2.80 Sean had verbally quoted me. I don't know what has happened to Avenue Road Roofing but this is the poorest of customer service and for this I give them a 0 rating. Thank goodness there are other reputable roofing companies that care about customers. After my original submission above, I received a call the same day from Bob of Avenue Road Roofing. He apologized and was quite upset that I had received such service and indicated that they pride themselves in providing excellent customer service. I noted that Bob was genuine and was interested in ensuring customers had a great experience. Thanks Bob for your interest in my situation. I definitely give you high marks for calling me and apologizing- sometimes companies make mistakes but companies who are genuine try to make up for them so thanks again.
