When I decided to get our Primary Ensuite Bathroom renovated in the summer, I had no idea what to expect as this was our first renovation of this magnitude since we bought the house more than 18 years ago. After much research online, I narrowed the list down to get quotes and met with (virtually and/or in person) several contractors. After looking through everything we decided to go with 310-RENO because their level of service impressed me and they were price competitive. While their quote wasnt the cheapest of those we received but when you consider that you get a designer included in your project theirs offered the most value overall. We also felt comfortable knowing that there was a warranty on their work in case they need to come back again in the near future.  While there was a long wait for a fixture (specific faucet I wanted), construction started in November and took 2 full weeks including Saturdays. My project Manager Jozef was so great to work with and kept me updated on progress and answered my many questions. I also enjoyed working with the Designer Alexandra who took the time to go tile shopping with me as well as on her own time more than once until we came up with the perfect tile combination. She also saved the day when an issue with the tile measurements (Tile was smaller than specified) by coming up with a new design idea almost on the spot. This meant stopping work while she ran out to find a new tile that would eventually become a border around the floor and shower that ended up looking very sharp and unique.  Even after the project was finished when I noticed a few areas that required some minor touching up, they came back within 2 days to complete all the touch ups. I have also since had questions about things like cleaning the linear shower drain and have received quick and friendly help with my questions.  The bathroom turned out really great as you can see from the photos Ive attached. They did a top notch job in addition to having been really good to work with throughout the process. We hope to tackle our Kitchen next at some point and will definitely be contacting 310-RENO again.

In the middle of two wet loads of laundry, our less than 3 year old “Kenmore” dryer stopped working following a bad burnt rubber smell. After called a few more “known” companies, I was looking at a minimum of 2 days before they could come. After doing a search on HomeStars, I noticed that Cascade had a very high rating so I gave them a call. Linda answered immediately and after taking down the model number, she advised me they could be here in 20 minutes. I was floored at how quick they were able to come. They showed up wearing masks which was appreciated during these Covid times. After taking the dryer apart, Linda’s husband Steve was able to immediately identify the problem and advised me of the price and time it would take for the repair. After about 1/2 hour they were done and my dryer was working perfectly and they were even kind enough to switch the dryer door around for me so it opens the same direction as the washer which has been driving us crazy for 3 years. They were so nice to work with, the price was very fair for the work done and I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again for any future appliance repair needs.

After several years we were finally in a position to do the major paint job that our house needed. Unfortunately the previous owners choose to paint themselves (it’s quite obvious) and selected colours such as deep purple kitchen, orange office, yellow flowery guestroom, green hallway, and blood red master bedroom. We wanted to lighten everything to very light grey shades which only made covering the nightmarish colours more difficult. Scott and his team from Living Colour Painters were amazing. From the high quality paint (we used BM Select on the walls), to the attention to detail and extras like caulking throughout the house, and removal of our existing towel racks that were builder installed and glued to the walls which caused problems with the drywall which they took care of and there is no sign they were ever there. On the last day as they were packing up, Scott ran around touching up any areas of concern I had (which again were due to previous owner caused wall irregularities) to ensure that I was completely happy with the job. Needless to say, I was very happy. There were no big surprises and my house looks brand new.

After extensive research and a few different quotes, we chose to work with Jerry an Stairs4u based on a combination of reviews and competitive price. Our job was quite large and took a full week to rip out our existing carpeting and laminate and replace it with new modern laminate including new 5” baseboards. They also completely replaced the stairs, railings, and pickets from our outdated honey oak/carpeted ones with new, solid oak stairs. After looking at numerous colour samples, we finally settled on a deep grey stain and love it in contrast with the floors and paint colours. It feels like we are in a brand new house (we did a complete top to bottom paint job)! I couldn’t be more happy. Despite being sometimes difficult to reach or schedule time, this would be the only area that could be improved but if every client is as high maintenance as me, that would be challenging to do. LOL. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for quality work at a reasonable, competitive price.
