10/10

We are very pleased with the overall job, and have received many positive comments on the new look of our home. We thoroughly enjoy our renovated home. Dov and Roy were very involved with the project as was Clint, Amit and Albert, all a pleasure to work with. Responsiveness was very good with timely call backs, prompt action on adjustments or requests. Adherence to schedule was outstanding- extra effort was employed to complete the job by the planned end date despite the need to resand the stairs. Hardwood and trim work was excellent. Crews were polite, very clean, responsive and non-intrusive. Crews maintained security of the home to a high degree when we were away.

Approximate cost of services:
$20,000.00
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Ensure you and the contractor are clear on who will be responsible for wall preparation, e.g., wallpaper glue removal or wall wash prior to paint, etc. If your subfloor needs to be screwed/stapled down prior to hardwood installation, ensure there is sufficient clearance between the subfloor and any underfloor heating duct runs to prevent long screws/staples from contacting/penetrating the duct work.

Company Response

Peter, thanks for the awesome review and appreciate your additional comments. I look forward to recieving those after photos from you later this week.
I thought I would take a momment to address your advise because it is a couple of very valid points.
It is our job is to ensure long lasting quality installation which accounts for proper fastener size and placement [approx 8-10 inches apart].As well it is typical that the duct work would be hung slightly below the subfloors similar to electrical and other wiring to minimize any accidental piercings. Most times finished ceilings make it difficult to view ducts at all. Typically there is not much room for the fastener to get through the wood floor, the subfloor and reach the duct work, especially when the enter on an angle. That said would not suggest that it never happens and certainly something to keep in mind for future.
As for the wall prep hard to recall if it was verbally touched on or not or perhaps not made clear enough by us. Regardless, good feedback to be more conscious of for next time. Keep well and await your future referrals.
